ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of the trans-theoretical model intervention in health education of water-sodium intake restriction and volume control for patients with peritoneal dialysis.MethodsSeventy peritoneal dialysis patients were randomly assigned to two groups,35 cases in each group. The patients in the control group received conventional health education. The patients in the experimental group received TTM-based health education. All patients were investigated with Blood pressure, weight, volume status at baseline,1 month and 3 month after intervention.ResultsIn the experimental group, significant differences were observed in different stage before and after the intervention(P<0.05).Significant improvement was found in Volume Management Scale in observation group, which indicated statistical significance(P<0.05).The results showed that there was interaction between the two groups(P<0.05).The time effect changed with the change of intervention factors. The difference between the two groups increased with the prolongation of intervention time Group of patients with different capacity control trends, the experimental group capacity control statusis better than the control group, the difference between the two groups have statistical significance. There was no significant difference in edema between the two groups before and after intervention(P>0.05).The level of edema in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group after 3 months of intervention(P<0.05).The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionTTM-based health education can control the water-sodium intake behavior of patients with peritoneal dialysis.Prevent volume load induced cardiovascular complications of peritoneal dialysis patients.
