Objective: Lung cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in China,in which non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)is the most common pathological type.In this study,we retrospectively analyzed the population characteristics of NSCLC patients treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from 2013 to 2016,in order to reveal the population characteristics of NSCLC in recent years.Method: The clinical data of patients with NSCLC treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from 2013 to 2016 were collected. The distribution of gender, age, nation, smoking history, patient source, pathological type and clinical stage were compared and analyzed among the patients. Results: A total of 2,564 cases of NSCLC were collected, including 568 cases in 2013,635 cases in 2014,669 cases in 2015,692 cases in 2016.There were 1,699 male patients and 865 female patients. The ratio of male to female was 1.96:1.There were 828 patients in the 50-59 years age group, accounting for32.29% of the total patients. In female patients, the number of this age group was the largest, accounting for 32.02%,while the number of the 60-69 years age group was the largest in male patients, accounting for33.61%.Adenocarcinoma(AD)was the most common pathological type in NSCLC,accounting for 71.41%.The ratio of AD was 67.61%,71.81%,70.85%and 74.71% from 2013-2016.The ratio of male to female was 59.64%:40.36% in the patients with AD.The ratio of male to female was 85.16%:14.84% in the patients with squamous cell carcinoma(SCC).AD individually accounted81.05%,72.67%,71.50%,70.05%,66.44% and 86.67% in all ages group of patients with NSCLC.Among 2564 patients with NSCLC,smoking was found in 1207 patients(47%)and non smoking in 1357 patients(53%).AD was the most common pathological type of smokers and non smokers. There were 708 cases of AD in smokers(58.66%),1123 cases of AD in non smokers(82.76%).In the patients with SCC,The rate of smokers was significantly higher than that of non-smokers(?2=192.358,P=0.000).AD was the most common pathological type in patients of the Zhuang nationality with NSCLC.Most of the patients in Guangxi were from Nanning, accounting for 30.89%,and the main pathological type was AD.In 1931 patients with definite TNM staging of NSCLC,the number of cases in the ?band ?stage was the largest, accounting for 1205 cases(62.40%).Conclusion:The number of NSCLC patients treated in our hospital had increased from 2013 to 2016.The patients with NSCLC were mainly from male patients, elder patients. Most of the patients with NSCLC had been in advanced stage. In this study,AD was the most common pathological type in NSCLC,accounting for 71.41%.the composition ratio of AD generally presents the trend of increasing from 2013 to 2016.The proportion of male patients withAD was more than that of women. The male patients with SCC was significantly more than female patients.SCC is highly prevalent among smokers.Smoking is closely related to the occurrence of SCC.AD was the most common pathological type in patients of the Zhuang nationality with NSCLC.There is a significant difference in the pathological type distribution between Zhuang and Han patients with NSCLC.
