Background:According to statistics, about 3 million 804 thousand of the new cases of malignant tumor in the country were reported in 2014,and the number of cancer deaths was 2 million 296 thousand.Cancer has become the leading cause of the death. In the malignant tumor, lung cancer is the first of the male malignant tumors, and the second of the female malignant tumors.About 80%of lung cancer is non-small cell lung cancer. For resectable non-small-cell lung cancer, surgery is the first choice, but the 5 year survival rate of non-small-cell lung cancer is still less than 20%.Chinese medicine is the precious wealth of the Chinese nation. With the continuous mining of traditional Chinese medicine, the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine has become an important feature of the prevention and treatment of lung cancer in China. The support from the national science and technology plan from sixth to twelfth Five-Year,Chinese medicine has been doing research on lung cancer from all levels, which include "lung cancer syndrome differentiation, treatment, treatment and Prescription Research" and "comprehensive treatment of Chinese medicine or Chinese medicine in the research" and so on.The advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of lung cancer have been clarified, and the recognition and support of colleagues at home and abroad have been obtained. However, until now,evidence-based medicine has provided research data that can only prove that Chinese medicine can reduce the recurrence and metastasis of lung cancer after operation.Based on evidence-based research data,it only defines the traditional Chinese medicine therapy for lung cancer. The question that still cannot be answered is:can all patients with lung cancer benefit from the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine? What kind of lung cancer patients are more suitable for the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine after surgery? What time does traditional Chinese medicine start to take part in the treatment, how long does it take for the time to intervene? Objective:In this study,we retrospectively analyzed the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in preventing recurrence and metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer, and observed and summarized the biological characteristics of the dominant group in general baseline, modern medicine and traditional Chinese medicine. It not only lays the foundation for the follow-up research, but also provides the theoretical basis for the greatest extent of the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of lung cancer.Method:159 cases were enrolled in this study. The cases, which have been diagnosed after January 1,2006 were from Guanganmen Hospital of Chinese Academy of Chinese Medicine.Inclusion criteria:?patients were histologically or cytologically diagnosed with I-IIIA stage non-small-cell lung cancer after January 1,2006;? postoperative patients of non-small-cell lung cancer with stage I-IIIA without tumor;?patients have been exposed to the traditional Chinese medicine for more than 6 months(the treatment of traditional Chinese Medicine alone after operation or chemotherapy or radiotherapy);? without the targeted therapy;? the age of 18-80 years;? the DFS(from the date of surgery to recurrence and metastasis)has been more than 24 months.Exclusion criteria:? severe, uncontrolled organic disease or infection, such as decompensated heart, lung and kidney failure;? the pregnant or lactating women, mental patients;? the main data was incomplete(mainly including the lack of the date of surgery, pathology, staging and postoperative TCM drug treatment etc.);? the evidence does not conform to any inclusion criteria. The biological characteristics of 159 patients in general baseline, modern medicine and traditional Chinese medicine were summarized and summarized.Result:(1):General descriptive statistics:males were more than women(1.34:1);99 were less than 60 years old and 60 were 60 years old;no tumor family history was more than family history of tumor(99:60);smoking history 73 cases,no smoking history 86 cases;in the primary site, the peripheral type was more than the central type;adenocarcinoma 124 cases, and squamous cell carcinoma 35 cases; There were 79 cases of primary tumor in T1 stage, followed by 66 cases in T2 stage, only 14 cases in "T3 + T 4" stage,101 cases without local lymph node metastasis,58 cases with different degree lymph node metastasis, pathological staging,?>?>?A(72>47>40),58 cases of spleen and lung qi deficiency syndrome in TCM syndrome, and second phlegm.37 cases of damp stasis syndrome,34 cases of Qi Yin deficiency syndrome,17 cases of heat toxic obstruction of lung syndrome and 13 cases of other syndrome type;syndrome factor Qi deficiency syndrome, followed by Yin deficiency syndrome, phlegm damp syndrome, heat toxin syndrome, blood stasis syndrome and other syndromes;105 cases "within 2 months",37 cases in "2 months-4 months",17 cases of "4 months-8 months".In terms of length of the intervention, there were 86 cases of "36-60 months",58 cases were "less than 36 months",15 cases were "more than 60 months".(2):Stratified description according to pathological stages:?,? and ?A were consistent with the overall trend distribution of dominant groups in TCM treatment.(3):Single factor analysis showed that primary tumor size and infiltration degree, local lymph node, pathological stage,Chinese medicine intervention blank period, traditional Chinese medicine intervention length,TCM syndrome type and TCM syndrome factors are important factors affecting DFS.The factors which were significant in the single factor analysis and the factors closely related to the prognosis of lung cancer in clinic were analyzed by COX regression analysis."The operation age was less than 60 years old,no family history of tumor, the size and degree of primary tumor were in T1 stage,I stage, spleen and lung qi deficiency syndrome, the intervention blank period was 1-120 days, and the intervention was 36-60 Months" may be important biological features of non-small cell lung cancer after operation.(4):7 cases of recurrence and metastasis in IIIA and 33 cases without recurrence and metastasis were matched strictly according to certain conditions, and 5 cases were successfully matched. The results showed that 80%of the non spleen and lung qi deficiency syndrome in the recurrent and metastatic group was 80%,while the spleen and lung qi deficiency syndrome in the non recurrent and metastatic group was 80%(P=0.037<0.05).Conclusion:Chinese medicine has the biological characteristics of preventing the recurrence and metastasis of non small cell lung cancer after operation:(1)"operation age is less than 60 years old,no family history of tumor, the size of primary tumor and the degree of invasion at T1 stage,I stage, spleen and lung qi deficiency syndrome, intervention blank within 2 months, and intervention for 36-60 months" may be important biological characteristics of good prognosis in the treatment of non small cell lung cancer after operation of traditional Chinese medicine;(2)The lung and spleen qi deficiency syndrome is likely to be the important features of the good prognosis of the stage IIIA non-small cell lung cancer patients after treatment with traditional Chinese medicine.
