Comparison Of Effects Of Palonosetron And Tropisetron On Preventing Postoperative Nausea And Vomiting:A Meta-analysis

Purpose: Meta-analysis of this study was to compared the two selective5-HT3 receptor antagonists Palonosetron and Tropisetron effectiveness in prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting.Methods: Follow the PRISMA statement,using Chinese computer retrieval database: Chinese periodical full text database,VIP database of Chinese journal,Wan-fang database.Using English database: PubMed,Embase,the Cochrane library.Retrieve the time from January 2006 to September 2016.According to the Cochrane Reviewer 's Handbook quality of the internalized articles were valuated.Using the Meta-analysis app Review Manager5.3 for data analysis.Results: The full text included 15 randomized controlled clinical studies.The meta analysis results of using Palonosetron and Tropisetron to prevent postoperative nausea and vomiting(PONV)showed that Palonosetron is more effective than Tropisetron in preventing postoperative nausea and vomiting?RR=0.62,95% CI(0.48,0.80),P<0.001?.But the differences between Palonosetron and Tropisetron in preventing postoperative nausea(PON)and postoperative vomiting(POV)have no statistical significance.Conclusion: The Palonosetron is more effective than Tropisetron in preventing postoperative nausea and vomiting.
