Compared Effect Of Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy And Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery For The Treatment Of Kidneystones Around 2cm

Objective: Tocompare the efficacy betweenpercutaneous nephrolithotomy(PCNL)and retrograde intrarenal surgery(RIRS)in treating the kidney stones around 2cm.Methods: From Oct.2015 to Nov.2016,clinical data of 96 patients with kidney stones around 2cm were analyzed retrospectively.According to the operative method,the patients were divided into two groups,which the PCNL group included 42 cases and the RIRS group was composed of 54 cases.Operative time,gravel time,postoperative hospital stay,hospitalization expenses,stone free rate and complication rate between two groups were recorded and compared.Results: In group PCNL,36 cases were successful to clear stones after one operation while 3 cases would be completed for the second operation.And there were 3 cases residual stones eventually.In group RIRS,48 cases were successful to clear stones after one operation.And there were 3 cases residual stones as well,eventually.The removal rate of PCNL and RIRS after oneweekwas 78.57%(33/42)and 57.41%(31/54)respectively,while after one month was92.86%(39/42)and 88.89%(48/54).The average operation time was(69.55±15.16)min and(54.48±12.89)min,the average gravel time was(32.36±13.04)min and(39.48±12.67)min,the postoperative hospital stay was5(4)days and 1(1)day,the average hospitalization expenses was(19194.50±3809.24)yuan and(13318.97±1537.15)yuan,the overallcomplication rate was 23.81%(10/42)and 3.70%(2/54)in the PCNL group and the RIRS group,respectively.Conclusions:Both PCNL and RIRS are efficacy and safe surgical alteration for patients with kidney stones within the confines of 2cm.As to the RIRS,its merits were shorter operative time and hospitalization days,lesscomplicationrateand hospitalization expenses than those in PCNL.But its gravel time is longer than PCNL's.However,RIRS and PCNL have similar stone free rate.
