Objectives:To discuss the impact of atrovastatin on glucose metabolism and the influence on the ratio of LDL-C/HDL-C in patients with lacunar infarction and to analysis it's efficacy and safety at the same time. Methods:A total of 156 patients with lacunar infarction who hospitalized between January 1,2013 and December 31,2016 were selected as objectives and they were insisted on taking atrovastatin regularly. We collected their basic data as well as the follow-up information. They were divided into three follow-up groups by the period of taking pills, including Group 1(ranging 0 to 6months),Group 2(ranging 6 months to 12 months)and Group 3(over 12months).Beside,we also splited every follow-up Group into middle-age Group and older Group by age.we discuss whether atrovastatin has an impact on the patients' FBG,HbA1 c and LDL-C/HDL-C,analysising the efficacy and safetyof atrovastatin by comparing the related indicators of basis-line to ending-line using SPSS17.0 software package at the same time. Results:Among the 156 cases, there is only one new-onset diabetes patient and it shows no statistical significance on FBG and HbA1 c in all follow-up groups and the same between the middle-age group and older group, but it has a tendency to rise the HbA1 c in the older group as time goes on.Atovastatin has a significant lipid-lowing effect, especially in lowering TC and LDL-C.It can also brings down the ratio of LDL-C/HDL-C.The results shows that there are 3cases of liver damage and 2 cases whose CK are twice higher than the upper normal limit. Conclusions: Atrovastatin is in good safety and notable efficacy on lowering lipid and it can reduce the ratio of LDL-C/HDL-C.Atrovastatin has no influence on FBG and Hb A1 c in patients with lacunar infarction but it raises the risk of HbA1 c in the elder as time goes on,The elder need to monitor some indexes correlated goucose metabolism regularly.
