The Clinical Observation Of Jinhuang Huoxuesan In Treating Acute Gouty Arthritis

Objective: To observe the curative effect of Jinhuang Huoxuesan in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis,preliminary inquiry the effect of detumescence,ease pain and reduce blood uric acid,also assess its safety in order to provide evidence for its further clinical application.Methods: The research was designed in randomized and parallel controlled principle methods.Research subjects are 96 selected patients who were diagnosed with acute gouty arthritis under western medicine criteria,syndrome under Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)criteria from January 2015 to December 2016 in Shanxi Provincial Institute of TCM,the inpatient patients of Department of rheumatism and Department of pain treatment.Subjects were randomly divided into the treatment group and the controlled group,each group contained 48 cases.The treatment group were received external application of Jinhuang Huoxuesan two times a day,while the controlled group were received Diclofenac Diethylamine Emulgel two times a day,this treatment lasted 10 days.Recording clinical symptom scores of TCM,pain VAS score before and after the treatment of two groups.Observing the change of uric acid(UA),C-reactive protein(CRP)and erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)before and after the treatment.Recording the occurrence of adverse reactions in the clinical trial.All clinical trial date were statistically analyzed by SPSS 23.0 statistical sofeware.Results:1.On the part of the total clinical efficacy,in the treatment group,the total effective rate was87.23%;in the control group,the total effective rate was 76.60%.The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),it means that the treatment group was better than the control group.2.In terms of TCM syndrome integral(clinical symptom scores),the major symptom scores of the patients of two groups were obviously descend after treatment,The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01),it means that the treatment group was better than the control group.3.About VAS pain assessment: The scores of two groups were apparently reduced after treatment,there was statistically significant difference in VAS pain assessment after treatment between two groups(P<0.01),indicating the treatment group was better than the control group.4.The aspect of laboratory indexes: UA,CRP and ESR obviously reduced compared with before treatment.There was no statistically significant in UA between two groups after treatment(P > 0.05).In other inflammatory marker,for example,CRP and ESR,after treatment the difference between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),but it has no difference in the aspect of clinical.The results showed that two drugs can effectively inhibit the acute inflammatory response,and no significant difference in decreasing laboratory indexes.5.Comparison of the safety indicators of two groups before and after treatment,there was no distinct change in the three routine,electrocardiogram(ecg)and liver and kidney function.Conclusion: The results showed that the Jinhuang Huoxuesan can effective relieve the clinical symptoms of acute gouty arthritis and help inhibit inflammatory reaction,and do not have obvious side effect.It is a safe and effective methods of clinical treatment of acute gouty arthritis,worthy of further research and extension.
