Objective: To analyze the epidemic characteristics of patients with new smear-posit ive pulmonary tuberculosis(NSP)in fourteen areas(state,city)of Xinjiang.Method:The number of NSP from the National Tuberculosis Information Management Syst em were used for analysis.The numbers of population was originated from the Xi njiang statistical yearbook.Adopt the descriptive statistical analysis methods to anal yze from 2010 to 2015 year whole autonomous region 14(state,city)of the new s mear-positive patients gender,age,occupation,ethnic and regional epidemiological distribution characteristics,and the developing trend of each year.Result: A total o f 43016 eases of pulmonary tuberculosis were reported in Xinxiang 2010-2015.The incidence rates of pulmonary tuberculosis from 2010 through 2015 were 43.07/100,000,34.62/100,000,40.70/100,000,29.82/100.000,27.02/100.000 and 24.88/100,000.The incidence of males with NSP and females with NSP was respectively35.02/100,000 and 31.25/100,000,what's more,there exists gender difference in t he tuberculosis incidence(?2=12.83,P<0.05).Most of the cases are 55 to 74 yea rs old,which accounts for 35.64%(15330/43016)of all reported cases.The occupatio nal distribution revealed that the majority of patients are farmers with the proportion o f 70.94%(30514/43016).The majority of patients were Mongols with the portion of 55.58/10(504/90.67).High incidence was concentrating at Kashi district of South Xinjiang,Hogan district and Aksum district.The peak incidence period was from Janu ary to April.Conclusion Xinjiang region should strengthen the key areas in 6 years,crowd of TB prevention and control work,using modern tuberculosis control straty,control of tuberculosis epidemic.
