Application Of Cone Beam CT In The Diagnosis And Treatment Of Jaw Cysts

Objective: The cone beam CT(CBCT)imaging features of geometric data measurement and imaging of jaw cysts,by comparing the data with surgical specimen measurement,evaluation of CBCT display geometric accuracy of cysts of the jaws,to provide the experimental basis for the evaluation of the application of CBCT in maxillary cyst before operation and surgical guidance.Methods: From the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region people's Hospital of oral and maxillofacial surgery from March 2015 to June 2016 doubt diagnosed as jaw cyst and 64 patients as the research object.Measured by Planmeca Romexis software,the data collected for statistical analysis using SPSS17.0 software.Results: 1.There was no significant difference between the measured value of CBCT and the measured value of the surgical specimen(P>0.05);2.According to CBCT analysis,There was no correlation between the volume of jaw defects and the age of patients and the location of lesions(P>0.05),but related to gender and clinical manifestations(P<0.05);3.The Hu value of CBCT was different from the diseased and the contralateral healthy jaw(P<0.05),and there was statistically significant difference between the different types of jaw cysts(P<0.05).Conclusions: 1.CBCT can correctly show the location,size and the relationship between the lesion and the surrounding soft tissue;2.There was no correlation between the volume of jaw defects and the age of patients and the location of lesions,but related to gender and clinical manifestations,3.The Hu value of CBCT can be used as the evaluation index of the hard tissue defect of the jaw.To some extent,it can be used as the basis for differential diagnosis of jaw cysts.
