Objective:To evaluate the effect of posterior one-stage total spinal resection and spinal stability reconstruction for thoracic and lumbar spinal metastases carcinoma. Methods:Retrospective analysis of January 2013 to June 2015 hospital surgical treatment of spinal metastases in 15 patients. We can easily concluded tha all patients underwent posterior lesions of vertebral resection, compressed spinal cord 360°annular decompression, artificial vertebral body VBOSS vertebral support system bone graft fusion, posterior pedicle screw system to restore the stability of the spine, comparison of the degree of pain and neurological status before and after surgery ?the local recurrence of the vertebral body?the stability of the internal fixation system and the prognosis of the patient.Results:15 patients followed up the data(3 months-18 months),the degree of pain after surgery significantly alleviated,Visual pain score in preoperative(5.07 ± 1.33)decreased to(2.13 ± 1.30)in postoperative.Among 14 cases of preoperative neurological dysfunction,10 cases are recovery mostly,4 cases are recovery partially.Frankel grade in preoperative(3.60 ± 0.83)decreased to(4.43 ± 0.46)in postoperative.Follow-up process in 1 case of breast cancer patients and 1 case of lung cancer patients died, there were no recurrence of vertebral resection, pedicle screw and artificial vertebral body support system without loosening, bone graft fusion is good, the expected survival extended. Conclusion:For patients with metastatic cancer involving the thoracolumbar vertebrae single segment, the treatment of total en bloc spondylectomy and the reconstruction of spinal stability can reduce the patient's pain and neurological recovery, significantly improve the quality of life of patients,to extend the expected survival period.
