Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of total en bloc spondylectomy for the treatment of spinal malignant tumor。Methods: A retrospective review was performed for total en bloc spondylectomy treatment of 8 patients with spinal malignant tumor form January 2009 to December 2014.The intraoperative bleeding volume,local pain,and recurrence of the tumor,bone graft and fusion,spinal stability were observed.Results:The 8 caes were followed up for 6 to 46 months.the mean blood loss was 1000~2600(1800±800) m1.The surgical effect was satisfactory.Postoperative pain in patients with obviously improved, VAS score decreased from 7.35±0.76 points at preoperation to 2.15±0.65 points at postoperation. Obvious neurological improvements were obtained ill all 8 cases after operation.Pulmonary infection were founded in 1 case after operation, 1case of ewing sarcoma recurred in 8 months after operation.All patients showed good bony fusion at 6 months without titanium mesh displacement and spinal instability,no broken nails,broken rod phenomenon.Conclusions: The total en bloc spondylectomy is the most efective procedure for the treatment of spinal malignant tumor,it can be improved lesion resection reduce the local recurrence rate. |
