Objective:Explore the value of throat swab procalcitonin in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory tract bacterial infection in children Methods:A total of 120 children with acute respiratory tract infection were enrolled in the Department of Pediatric Breath of the First Hospital of Jilin University from January 2016 to December 2016.The patients were divided into bacterial infection group(n = 40),virus infection group(n = 40)and mycoplasma infection group(n = 40).All selected children were examined for throat swab PCT,At the same time,we detect the routine blood,CRP,serum PCT and nine respiratory pathogen nine antibodies Ig M test.During hospitalization, given the appropriate standardized treatment. After the treatment was improved,we review the abnormal indicators. We need to observe the days of the children use antibiotics and stay in hospital. The data were analyzed by SPSS22.0 statistical software. The measurement data were expressed as mean standard deviation(x ąs).The t test was used to compare the data. The count data were expressed as the number of cases(percentage),and the x~2 test was used.Comparison of the two sides used chi-square method,by adjusting the test level(? / comparison times)to reduce a class of error.Correlation analysis used Spearman correlation test. The test level? is 0.05.Result:1.The positive rate of throat swab PCT and serum PCT were significantly higher in the group of bacterial infection group than in mycoplasma infection group and virus infection group(P<0.0167).The positive rate of throat swab PCT and serum PCT between the mycoplasma infection group and the virus infection group have no significant difference(P>0.0167).2.The sensitivity and specificity of throat swab PCT and serum PCT to distinguish the bacterial infection group and non-bacterial infection group were 87.5%,62.5%and86.3%,91.3%,respectively.The sensitivity of throat swab PCT was significant higher than serum PCT(P<0.05).The specificity of throat swab PCT was consistent with that of serum PCT,the difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).3.There was a positive correlation between the levels of throat swab PCT and the number of days of antibiotic and use hospitalization in children with bacterial infection(rs=0.800,0.785;P<0.001).4.The positive rate of pharyngeal swab PCT in acute phase was 87.5%,while only 15.0% in recovery phase in 40 cases of bacterial infection group. The positive rate of pharyngeal swab PCT in acute phase was significantly higher than that in recovery phase(=42.076,P<0.001).Conclusion:1.Respiratory tract in the presence of bacterial infection, throat swab PCT has a good sensitivity and specificity, may be an indicator of respiratory infection.2.Throat swab PCT level can reflect the severity of bacterial infection and disease changes.
