Health is a basic right for human development,which is considered to be an important valuable capability.Health helps to increase working hours,improve working efficiency and acquire more job opportunities for the accumulation of human capital.With the development of China's economy and the rapid urbanization,more and more rural migrants leave the countryside to for job opportunities in cities.With the increasing scale of rural migrant workers,their live hood and development are becoming a great social concern,in particular,their health status and health care service have become increasing prominent.Base on the questionnaire survey of rural migrant workers in Wenzhou City,this study investigate the health status and health care service of rural migrant workers,reveal the main factors influencing the health care service demand of rural migrant workers.The results will be good for guiding the rural migrant workers to seek health care service,rationally allocating the health resources,improving the health policy of rural migrant workers.The results will provide scientific basis for meeting the rural migrant workers' health care services.The result showed that the rural migrant workers chose to buy drugs from pharmacy by themselves or not take any measure firstly,secondly go to private clinics or community health service station for help,the proportion of hospitals or above the country level was lowest.There were some differences with time cost,economic cost,transportation selection,waiting time,medical service price,drug availability and satisfaction with medical experience when the rural migrant workers seek health service.The socioeconomic status was one of most influencing factors for rural migrant workers seeking health service.The rural migrant workers with high income,high educated,or better employment selected higher level health service institution.The new cooperative medical system and higher medical price restrained the rural migrant workers' health service need,and more and more rural migrant workers chose health service institution near their location.
