Objectives:The study was aimed to investigate the status of sense of competence of preschool children' parents in Lhasa,evaluate the level of the parental sense of competence,discuss the main influencing factors of parental sense of competence.According to the results of the analysis,put forward some suggestions to improve sense of competence in preschool children' parents in Lhasa,enhance their parenting self-efficacy and satisfaction,and provide reference for healthy growth of preschool children in Lhasa.Methods:240 parents whose children are from 2 public kindergartens and 2 private kindergartens in Lhasa were selected as the research object by convenience sampling.The questionnaire included General Information Questionnaire,Chinese Version of the Parenting Sense of Competence Scale,and Social Support Rating Scale.The data were managed by Epidata3.1 software and analyzed by SPSS21.0 software.Statistical methods included descriptive analysis rank-sum test correlation analysis of Spearman,and multiple linear regression.Results:1.The score of sense of competence in preschool children' parents in Lhasa was(63.88±5.89),the score of parenting efficiency was(31.89±3.33),and the score of satisfaction was(32.00±5.82).2.The scores of sense of competence in preschool children' parents were statistical differences in age of children,kindergarten properties,whether the only child,the guardian occupation,the hours of work,the level of income and guardiancharacter(P<0.05).3.The score of social support of the preschool children' parents was(40.67 ±5.93),the score of subjective support was(24.23±4.04),the score of objective support was(8.79±2.41),the score of the use of support was(7.64±2.02).4.Correlation analysis revealed that parenting sense of competence had positive correlation with social support(P(27)0.05,r=0.056).The results of multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that age of children,kindergarten properties,the level of income influenced sense of competence in preschool children' parents in Lhasa,these three factors could explain 12.9% of the total variation.Conclusions:1.The level of sense of competence in preschool children' parents in Lhasa is relatively low,and the level of social support is in middle level.2.There are positive correlations between parenting sense of competence and social support in preschool children' parents in Lhasa,that is,the higher level of social support,the higher level of parental sense of competence.3.The age of children,kindergarten properties,whether the only child,the guardian occupation,the hours of work,the level of income and guardian character in general demographic information are the influencing factors of sense of competence in preschool children' parents in Lhasa;the age of children,kindergarten properties,the level of income are the main factors affecting of parental sense of competence in Lhasa.
