Objective:To analyze the factors related to the treatment of infective endophthalmitis by vitrectomy. Methods:From January 1,2014 to December 31,2016,213 patients(213 eyes)were enrolled in the Department of Ophthalmology,Second Hospital of Jilin University.Among them,103 patients underwent vitrectomy. The clinical data were retrospectively analyzed. Results:The incidence of endophthalmitis is related to age and sex.The incidence of males was significantly higher than that of females(?2= 23.670,P<0.05).There was also a significant difference in the incidence of endophthalmitis between different age groups. The middle age of the disease is much more frequent than other age groups(?2= 74.311,P<0.05).There was no improvement in postoperative visual acuity in 24 eyes(32.00%),postoperative visual acuity improved in 34 eyes(45.33%)in no foreign body group of postpartum endophthalmitis, and there was no improvement in visual acuity in 13 eyes(17.33%)4 eyes(5.33%)in foreign body group. There was significant difference in postoperative visual acuity(?2= 6.477,P= 0.011).Eyes without foreign body in patients was significantly better than patients with foreign body in the eyes.Patients with less than 24 hours of duration had no improvement in visual acuity in 10 eyes(13.33%)and visual acuity improved by 20 eyes(26.67%)andthere were no improvement in visual acuity in 27 patients(36.00%),postoperative visual acuity improved in 18 patients(24.00%)in postpartum endophthalmitis. The difference between course and prognosis was statistically significant(?2= 5.121,P= 0.024).Patients with a duration of less than 24 hours had a significantly better prognosis than those with a duration of more than 24 hours.Conclusion:(1)ocular trauma is the main cause of infective endophthalmitis.Cataract surgery is the main cause of Post-operative endophthalmitis(2)The occurrence of infective endophthalmitis may be related to age and sex,and has nothing to do with the season;(3)preoperative and postoperative visual acuity suggest that vitrectomy is safeand effective for theinfectious endophthalmitis.(4)for post-traumatic endophthalmitis, foreign body and the duration of the disease have an impact on prognosis.(5)for infective endophthamitis after anti-glaucoma trabeculectomy, the patient's condition is more severe than other causes of endophthalmitis. All patients had no significant changes in postoperative visual acuity;(6)for endogenous endophthalmitis, basic diseases are not the same, symptoms are also quite different. It is speculated that postoperative visual acuity may be affected by the severity of the basic disease.
