Objective:Through retrospective study of prosthesis related complications in cases of dental implant completed in Yantai Stomatological Hospital from2009-2014.The aim of this study was to investigate the survive rate of implant and the incidence of prosthesis related complications in the past stage, discuss theregularity of occurrence and clinical related factors preliminarily. To provide some guidance for clinicians engaged in oral implantation and to prevent and reduce the occurrence of prosthesis related complications in dental implants.Materials and methods:Retrieve the medical records of dental implant from January 2009 to December 2014,which was finished in the oral implant department of Yantai Stomatological Hospital. After excluding unqualified medical records according to the exclusion criteria,a total of 3557 patients and6223 implants were included.Take notes the related items of medical records.Count the survival rate of implants and the incidence of prosthetic complications, and analyze the ralated factors. Results:The study included a total of 6223 implants. The survival rate of implants is 98.92%?The incidence of abutment or abutment screw loosening was 3.26%.The incidence of abutment or abutment screw fracture was 0.18%.The incidence of restoration screw loosening was 6.87%.The incidence of loss of retention in restoration was 3.35%.The incidence of porcelain chipping was 3.46%.The incidence of food impaction was 43.05%.The incidence of contact loss was5.60%.There were no fracture of implants orrestoration screws or framewoks happened in this study.Conclusion:1.The most frequent complication of mechanical complication was the loosening of abutment or abutment screws. The loosening of abutments or abutment screws was high in male patients and molar regions.2.The most frequent technical complication was porcelain chipping.Porcelain chipping was more frequent in screw-retained restorations and Male patients and molar regions and implant supported fixed partial dentures and Zirconia all-ceramic crowns.3.The most frequent complication was food impaction.Food impaction was more frequently happened in implant supported fixed partial dentures and molar regions.
