Factors Of Patients With Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Associated With Depression And Anxiety

Objection: The Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA),the Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)and the clinical manifestations of the patients were used to understand the status of depression and anxiety in patients with COPD.By collect the relevant information of patients to explore the relationship between depression and anxiety in patients with COPD.Methods: 91 patients with COPD were enrolled in this study.We used HAMA and HAMD to understand the situation of anxiety and depression of the subjects and sub-types of depression in the subjects with depression.This study collected data such as gender,age,education,smoking history,height,weight and condition.All patients underwent pulmonary function tests.67 patients were tested for serum C-reactive protein.The serum levels of serum IL-6,IL-8 and TNF-? were detected in 53 patients.The differences of HAMA and HAMD score among different groups were analyzed.The patients were divided into two groups according to depression and anxiety to explored the risk factors of COPD patients associated with depression and anxiety.The patients with depression were divided into four groups according to their combined subtype of depression.And we analyzed the differences among COPD patients with each subtypes of depression.Results:Male patients,heavy smoking,higher academic qualifications and cough,were linked to higher incidence rate of depression and anxiety.The serum level of CRP in COPD patients with depression was higher than who were not with depression.Higher academic qualifications was the risk factors for COPD-related depression and anxiety.The characteristics of patients with COPD who are combined with various sub-types of depression are different.Conclusion:The incidence of depression and anxiety in patients with COPD was higher than others.According to understand the characteristic of anxiety and depression associated with COPD,doctors could understanding the condition of depression and anxiety of patients with COPD comprehensive.In this way,we can improve the patient's treatment compliance as early as possible,thereby improving the prognosis.
