The Clinical Observation Of Shashenshihu Decoction In Combination With Chemo-treatment In The Treatment Of 80 Case Of Advanced Gastric Carcinoma(Deficiency Of Both Qi And Yin)

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of advanced gastric carcinoma(deficiency of both qi and yin)treated by Shashenshihu decoction in combination with chemo-treatment.Methods:Eighty patients of advanced gastric cancer were randomly divided into two groups,forty cases in each group.Both groups were treated by chemo-treatment 4weeks as a course of continuous observation for2 cycles.Cases in the treatment group were treated by Shashenshihu decoction decoction.The TCM symptom,Karnofsky Performance Scale,adverse reaction and the changes in serum levels of tumor markers CEA and CA19-9 were observed before and after all the trea-tments.Results:1.Comparison of the two groups on TCM syndrom:TCM syndrom of 2 groups after all treatments has dropped.There is statistically significant between the treatment group and control group after treatment(P< 0.05).2.Comparison of the two groups on KPS scores :To compare 2 groups of KPS scores in post-treatment,the difference is significant.,but the KPS scores of treatment group is better than that in the control group(P< 0.01).3.Comparison of the two groups on the short-term efficacy:To compare 2 groups of the short-term efficacy,the treatment group were more efficient than control group significantly(P< 0.05).4.Comparison of the two groups on adverse reaction:To compare 2 groups of the adverse reaction,the treatment group have fewer adverse reaction than the control group,but there is no difference on degree of adverse reaction.(P>0.05).5.Comparison of the two groups on the change of CEA and CA19-9: CEA and CA19-9 were reduced in both of two groups,P<0.05,which have significant in statistics,but there is no difference on the degree of reducing the CEA and CA19-9.(P>0.05).Conclusuion: Shashenshihu decoction combined with chemo-treatment can improve the TCM syndrom of patients with gastric carcinoma(deficiency of both qi and yin),and improve the living quality,increase effect rate,and low adverse reaction.But there is no difference on the effect of reducing the CEA and CA19-9 between two groups.
