A Study On Professor Lee Kim Leong's Doctrine

Professor Lee Kim Leong in 1969 from a journal of Chinese medicine saw "Bethune sacrifice",it's selfless touching deeds,and became determined to practice medicine for the people.He studied traditional Chinese medicine in Singapore and began practicing,while continuing to study TCM.Professor Lee noted that,from 1949 to 1979,China's Traditional Chinese Medicine in a short period of three decades,made tremendous progress in both treatments and theories.Therefore,he frequently travels to China and other countries to study and learn under famous TCM masters.Professor Lee Kim Leong application of syndrome differentiation of viscera and meridian theory,focusing on the meridians and acupoints and their effects,the use of acupuncture and moxibustion application is the basis of Professor Lee's acupuncture theory.Professor Lee Kim Leong thinks that the focus of treating diseases:doctors should be well versed in the TCM classics;focus on acupuncture basics and operations;regulating the balance of human body function,to reconcile the yin and yang is the focus of treatment of disease.He stressed the importance of human health and quality of life.Professor Lee was very focused in the clinical use of individual acupoints.Such as treating insomnia with vitamin B1 injection into the Zusanli(ST36);Uses Yongquan(KI1)and Renzhong(GV26)for emergency first aid for drowning,loss of consciousness;treating women infertility by only applying moxibustion to Sanyinjiao(SP6)and Neiguan(PC6).His innovation in acupuncture treatment was combining his years of clinical experience and the new effective acupoints,creating his own "three acupuncture points therapy".Professor Lee Kim Leong was committed to improving the TCM in Singapore.He meticulously wrote daily clinical records and researches,publishing many articles and books.Professor Lee's articles are mainly divided into literary creation and medical writings.He had dedicated his life for the development of TCM.His noble medical ethics,excellent efficacy and reputation,was one of the most recognized acupuncturist.
