As one of the most complex things in nature,the human brain is mainly composed of gray matter,white matter and cerebrospinal fluid,the gray matter is mainly responsible for information processing and storage;white matter is mainly responsible for the transmission of information and the work of brain function network to complete a simple or complex brain activity.In recent years,with the great progress in brain science research,Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI),especially diffusion tensor imaging(DTI)based on human body water diffusion movement,can noninvasively show the morphological structure and running direction of white matter fibers in vivo,and clearly reflects the integrity of white matter fibers,and the research on the structure and function of white matter network has been greatly promoted.Diffusion tensor imaging is a noninvasive,sensitive brain imaging technique that can describe the integrity and connectivity properties of white matter fibers by measuring the diffusion properties of water molecules.In the past,the use of diffusion tensor imaging technology for the whole brain white matter fiber bundle quantitative analysis mainly adapt the Voxel-Based Analysis method(VBA).Although the method can describe the integrity of the whole white matter structure,but ignore the brain modular mode of operation.And use the quantitative analysis method of Region of Interest(ROI)to better reflect the connection characteristics between different brain regions.White matter each fiber bundle shape is different,small size,unlike gray matter can be manually artificial sketches,white matter structure can only be extracted based on the white atlas.Therefore,the white matter atlas in the white matter network research plays a decisive role,is to connect the neurobiology and medical imaging bridge.Brain imaging experiments on animals in the study of neurobiology has irreplaceable function,new drugs research and development,pathogenesis research all need to firstly make use of the experimental animal model.Because of its short growth cycle,the experiment of low cost and a lot of mature disease model establishment methods,the rodents have become the most widely used experimental animal.At first,the methods of establishing rat white matter atlas at home and abroad were reviewed in detail,and the currently existing problems in the existing white matter atlas were analyzed.Then the multimodality image templates using rat as the research object,including a 3D standard rat white matter brain atlas based on anatomical structures,with a T2 weighted template,a white matter probabilistic template based on MRI,a FA template based on DTI images was established;at last the standard rat brain templates were registered to the white matter atlas to reach the unity of space.On the basis of this,in order to carry out a comprehensive quantitative analysis of the accuracy of the rat brain white matter atlas,the MCAO of the experimental animal cerebral ischemia model was used in the rat middle cerebral artery occlusion experiment,and according to the rats brain white matter atlas,The FA information of the normal rats and MCAO model rats were statistically analyzed to verify the reliability,validity and practicability of the rat brain white matter atlas.Offer more reliable basis for afterwards research.
