Background and purposeVirus encephalitis(VE)is one of the most common disease in the central nervous system of children.It refers to inflammation of brain parenchyma caused by viral infection,and can invade the meninge.The incidence of Virus encephalitis about3.7 to 7.5 / 10 million population.Often Virus encephalitis manifeste as fever,convulsion,disturbance of consciousness and meningeal irritation,and it can cause the focal injury in central nervous system.There is no specific treatment,the prognosis of some viral encephalitis is serve,critically ill,high mortality,often leaving a serious sequelae.OX40(CD134)is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and belongs to the family of tumor necrosis factor(TNF)superfamily.Its expression profile is limited and exists on the surface of activated CD+4T and CD+8T cells,mainly CD4 + T cells,and it mainly exists in the lymphoid tissue T cell area and peripheral inflammatory sites,less in non-inflammatory related tissues and peripheral blood,there is a strong regional specificity.OX40 L can promote B cells to produce high potency antibody and category transformation,allositimulate T cell activation.The role of soluble OX40L(sOX40L)molecules in physiological and pathological processes is not yet present Clear.Interleukin(IL)-17 is a new inflammatory cytokine,which can induce the production of other cytokines andchemokines,and stimulate the recruitment and activation of neutrophils to participate in the inflammatory response and Immune response.IL-17 is a multi-functional cytokine,mainly secreted by Th17 cells,Other cells such as macrophages,neutrophils,astrocytes,oligodendrocytes,epithelial cells,etc.can also be secreted,the occurrence and development of diseases play an important regulatory role.At present,the expression of OX40 / OX40 L and IL-17 in viral myocarditis,dilated cardiomyopathy,bronchial asthma,cerebral ischemia,multiple sclerosis,myasthenia gravis and other diseases are discussed.In the central nervous system infection in OX40 / OX40 L and IL-17,especially the research of OX40 / OX40 L reports is rare.ObjectiveThis study focuses on the expression of soluble OX40L(sOX40L)and IL-17 in viral encephalitis in peripheral blood,and explored whether they are involved in the development of viral encephalitis and provided new ideas for their treatment.MethodsViral encephalitis in children 1-2 days after admission to be diagnosed by lumbar puncture to take cerebrospinal fluid and to take fresh venous blood 2ml,The control group of children are also extracted by lumbar puncture or surgical drainage of fresh cerebrospinal fluid and to take fresh venous blood 2ml,All the cerebrospinal fluid samples were centrifuged at 4500 r / min for 10 min at 4 ℃,and then the supernatant was collected.Following the instructions on the reagent instructions,The serum sOX40 L and CSF IL-17 levels were measured by ELISA.ELISA kits were purchased from Yiluite Biotechnology Co.,Ltd..All the data were analyzed by SPSS21.0.ResultSerum levels of sOX40 L and IL-17 in cerebrospinal fluid are measured: Theserum sOX40 L level in children with viral encephalitis has no significant difference compared with the control group(P>0.05),The level of IL-17 in cerebrospinal fluid is significantly higher than that in control group(P <0.05).ConclusionThe pathophysiological process of viral encephalitis may be associated with IL-17,have nothing to do with serum sOX40 L.
