Study On The Correlation Between Morning Blood Pressure Surge And Serum Uric Acid In Patients With Essential Hypertension

ObjectiveIn this study,24 hours ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and biochemical tests were performed to investigate the relationship between morning blood pressure surge and serum uric acid in patients with essential hypertension.In order to provide a basis for better morning blood pressure surge management MethodsA total of 195 inpatients with essential hypertension who were hospitalized from November 2014 to December 2015 were selected.Another selected healthy physical examination persons as normal control group(n = 88).The patients with essential hypertension underwent 24 h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring(ABPM),according to the monitoring results the patients with essential hypertension were divided into morning blood pressure surge group(n=93)and non morning blood pressure surge group(n=102).All subjects' blood tests and clinical data collection were performed on the day of application of ABPM device.All blood samples were obtained from the subjects in the morning after 12 hours of fasting for measurement of serum uric acid,fasting plasma glucose,total serum cholesterol,triglycerides,high density lipoprotein cholesterol,low density lipoprotein cholesterol,urea,creatinine,And record the general clinical data.Results1.The cholesterol level in the morning blood pressure surge group was higher than that in the non morning blood pressure surge group,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).2.The results of 24 h ABPM showed that the average systolic blood pressure in the morning blood pressure surge group was higher than that in the non morning blood pressure surge group,and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).3.There was a difference between the three groups in the mean level of serum uric acid,the morning blood pressure surge group was higher than that of the non morning blood pressure surge group,the two groups were higher than the normal control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Correlation analysis showed that morning blood pressure surge and serum uric acid(r= 0.384,P<0.01)was positively correlated.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that serum uric acid level and morning blood pressure surge was independently correlated(B = 0.05,P < 0.01).Conclusion1.The level of serum uric acid was closely related to hypertension,and was an important factor of hypertension.2.The serum uric acid was positively correlated with morning blood pressure surge,which was an independent risk factor for morning blood pressure surge.
