Shengyangyiwei Decoction In Treatment Of Gastrointestinal Dysfunction After Gastrointestinal Surgery In Clinical Research

ObjectiveTo evaluate the safety and efficacy of Shengyangyiwei decoction in treating gastrointestinal dysfunction after gastrointestinal surgery.Methods90 eligible patients involved in this trial,including 45 cases in control group and 45 patients in treatment group.The control group using routine symptomatic treatment,including orrecting water and electrolyte disorders,nutritional support,acid suppression,the application of gastrointestinal motility drugs,without the intervention of traditional Chinese medicine.Shengyangyiwei decoction was given in the treatment group continuous medication 3-5 days,other are the same as the control group.The baseline information of the patients,such as gender,age,BMI,operating time,intraoperative blood loss,preoperative blood routine,preoperative biochemistry,postoperative pathologic stage,pretherapy and post-treatment blood routine,pretherapy and post-treatment biochemistry,length of hospital stay,hospital cost.The observing targets including of pretherapy and post-treatment the levels of motilin and TCM syndrome points.ResultsThe difference between the two groups on gender,age,BMI,operating time,intraoperative blood loss,preoperative blood routine,preoperative biochemistry,postoperative pathologic stage,pretherapy and post-treatment blood routine,pretherapy and post-treatment biochemistry,length of hospital stay,hospital cost were not significant(P>0.05).Compared with the same group before treatment,the serum motilin levels of two groups were significantly increased(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the serum motilin levels in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Indicating that both groups can promote postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery,and the treatment group in promoting postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery is better than the control group,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the same group before treatment,the two groups of patients after treatment of TCM symptoms score significantly reduced(P<0.05).Compared with the control group after treatment,the treatment group after treatment of TCM symptoms score decreased significantly(P<0.05).Indicating that both groups can improve bloating,abdominal pain,nausea,vomiting and other gastrointestinal symptoms of gastrointestinal dysfunction,and the treatment group than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the control group was 5 cases,23 cases were markedly effective,9 cases were effective,8 cases were ineffective,and the total effective rate was 82.22%.In the treatment group,the total clinical curative effect was cured in 9 cases,30 cases were markedly effective,5 cases were effective,1 case was ineffective and the total effective rate was 97.78%.Compared with the control group,the curative effect of the treatment group was significantly improved(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the curative effect was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).ConclusionShengyangyiwei Decoction combined with conventional treatment in the treatment of gastrointestinal dysfunction after gastrointestinal surgery is better than conventional treatment,and can improve bloating,abdominal pain,nausea,vomiting and other gastrointestinal symptoms of gastrointestinal disorders.Moreover,it can promote postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery,no adverse reactions,so it worthy of popularization in clinic.
