A Clinical Study On The Combined Therapy For Taeeumin Older People's Ischemic Stroke During Convalescence With Chinese Yam Lung Tonic Decoction And Bear Gall Powder

ObjectivesThe purposes of this study are(a)to compare the combined therapy of Chinese yam lung tonic decoction and bear gall powder on Taeeumin older people' s ischemic stroke during convalescence with Tanshinone IIA therapeutic method,(b)to study and discuss the effectiveness and safety of Chinese yam lung tonic decoction and bear gall powder on curing Taeeumin older people' s ischemic stroke during convalescence by comparing the two therapeutic methods through NIHSS scores,BI index,TCM symptoms and the variation degree of blood glucose,blood lipid and hemorheology,and(c)to offer reliable experimental basis for the clinical application of Chinese yam lung tonic decoction and bear gall powder on curing Taeeumin older people' s ischemic stroke during convalescence.MethodologyForty older people ischemic stroke patients during convalescence were randomly and averagely divided into experiment group and control group.Patients in experiment group were treated with Chinese yam lung tonic decoction(15g of liriope,lOg of platycodon root,5g of schisandra,lOg of coix seed,10g of Chinese yam and 10g of radish seed)and bear gall powder,one dose,twice(after breakfast and dinner)a day,decocted with 400ml water.Patients in control group were injected with 40mg of Tanshinone IIA combined with 250ml of 0.9%sodium chloride injection,once a day.One course of the treatment for both control group and experiment group was four weeks.The therapeutic effect was evaluated by observing and comparing the TCM symptoms(like facial distortion,hemianesthesia and dysphasia),NIHSS scores and BI index before and after the treatment.By comparing two groups of patients' blood glucose,blood lipid and hemorheology,decide the safety of the two kinds of medicine.At last,analyze the data with the software SPSS 22.The measuring materials are shown as mean ± standard deviation(X±S),applying t test.The comparison of the measuring materials applied chi-squared test and the ranked data applied rank test analysis.Research findings1.According to the analysis,before the treatment,the genders,pathogenesis,ages and body mass index in both experiment group and control group have no statistical significance(P>0.05),which is available for comparison.2.Comprehensive therapeutic effect:After the treatment,there were 19 effective cases in experiment group with the effective rate of 95%and 14 cases in control group with 70%of effective rate.The total effective rate of the experiment group is higher than that of the control group,which is statistically significant.3.Scores of NIHSS:After the treatment,the NIHSS scores of both experiment group and control group got lower,and the changes are more obvious in experiment group than in control group.4.BI index:After the treatment,the BI index of patients in both groups got increased,and the changes are more obvious in experiment group than in control group.5.Hemodynamic indexes:In the aspect of lowering the whole blood viscosity,platelet aggregation rate and plasma viscosity,experiment group was more effective.After the treatment the CHOL,TG and LDL of patients in both groups got apparently lower but the HDL level of experiment group didn' t have any obvious change.After the treatment,experiment group had more advantages over lowering CHOL,TG and LDL than control group.6.Scores of TCM symptoms:After taking the medicine,every patient's TCM symptoms got improved,that is the scores of TCM symptoms in both experiment group and control group got lower.The changes are more obvious in experiment group than in control group.7.Safety of the medicine:The treatment didn' t bring about any side effects to patients in both groups and there was no obvious abnormality.ConclusionIn the process of the treatment of Taeeumin older people' s ischemic stroke during convalescence,the combined therapy of Chinese yam lung tonic decoction and bear gall powder had an effect on the TCM symptoms like facial distortion,hemianesthesia and dysphasia.At the same time,the blood viscosity got obviously improved,which reduced the probability of cerebral thrombosis and improved neurological function and limb function as well.All in all,the combined therapy of Chinese yam lung tonic decoction and bear gall powder has a preferable therapeutic effect on Taeeumin older people ischemic stroke patients during convalescence.It didn' t bring about any toxic side effects or other drug-induced side effects,so it is relatively safe.
