Comparison Of Clinical Outcomes Of One-stage And Staged Multiple Ligament Reconstruction After Traumatic Knee Dislocation

Objective This study is to evaluate and compare the clinical results of one-stage and staged multiligament reconstruction after traumatic knee dislocation.Methods 53 patients of traumatic knee dislocation from Oct 2010 to Jun 2015 treated in department of sports medicine and arthroscopy surgery,the first affiliated hospital of anhui medical university.All injuried ligaments were reconstructed in one-stage in 34 patients(one-stage group),staged in 19 patients(staged group).The VAS scores?knee ROM?Lysholm scores?IKDC scores preoperative and postoperative and the costs?recovery time?complications were all recorded.Results The mean cost of one-stage group was 58563±7871 yuan,staged group was 68620±12055 yuan,there was obvious difference between two groups(P<0.01).The recovery time of one-stage group was 7.1±1.1 mouths,staged group was 10.1±1.0 mouths,there was obvious difference between two groups(P<0.01).In each group,the postoperative VAS scores were declined obviously than preoperative(P<0.05),the knee ROM?Lysholm scores?IKDC scores were improved obviously postoperation(P<0.05).There were no obvious differences between two groups of VAS scores?knee ROM?Lysholm scores and IKDC scores(P>0.05).Tourniquet reaction was appeared in 3 patients in one-stage group and in 1 patient in staged group,poor healing of incision was appeared in 1 patient in one-stage group.The complication rate was 11.8% in one-stage group and 5.3% in staged group(P>0.05).Conclusion Multiligament reconstruction in one-stage and staged after traumatic knee dislocation were all safe and efficient,but one-stage group need less costs and recovery time.
