In order to further comprehensive development of ginseng stem leaf using supply theory, this research has carried on the determination of total saponins in ginseng stems and leaves, heavy metals and mineral element content;and the effect of extract containing extract of ginseng stems and leaves of methanol in the different polar solvents in the composition of total flavonoids and total phenolics were measured control;antioxidant activity of different polar parts. The results show that the total saponins of ginseng stems and leaves which content was 3.19%;in the mineral, selenium containing low value, containing the value of strontium, iron, lithium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, calcium, zinc and manganese is higher;Hg,Pb and Cr,Cu,Al containing arsenic, lead, exceed the standard value;tin containing value does not exceed the standard.Alcohol extracts of different polar solvent antioxidant concentration samples followed the growth phase extract scavenging capacity is increased, with significant dose effect relationship;and the DPPH free radical scavenging effect in aqueous phase is highest;ABTS+ free radical scavenging effect of ethyl acetate is highest;hydroxyl radical scavenging effect of water is relatively strong ethyl acetate;reduction ability of the strongest;and more water and ethyl acetate phase and total phenolic content of total flavonoids.Considering the effects of methanol extracts from stems and leaves of different polarity, water phase and ethyl acetate phase,it has good antioxidant activity, and is an effective part of antioxidation activity of stems and leaves of Panax ginseng.
