The Mechanism Of Protective Factors Of Resilience Among Breast Cancer Patients

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the interactions of protective factors of resilience and constructing its models among breast cancer patients and to identify the effect paths with the purpose of providing the theoretical basis to take intervention measures to enhance the psychological adaptation and finally improve their quality of life in the future.Methods We investigated totally 400 breast cancer patients with the demographic and disease questionnaire,the 14 item Resilience Scale,General Self-efficacy Scale,Revised Life Orientation Test,Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support,and Self-Mastery Scale for Chinese version.The data was entered by Epi Data3.1,descriptive and correlative analysis was carried out by SPSS13.0.The certification factor analysis,model construction,and the mediating effect analysis was performed by the Amos17.0.Results(1)The score of resilience,self-efficacy,self-mastery,dispositional optimism and social support was 72.51 ± 8.12,55.63±8.38,26.65 ± 5.08,27.91±3.96,18.01 ±3.43,and the average score of each item was 5.53±0.83、2.66 ± 0.51、3.99±0.57、3.00± 0.57、6.04 ± 0.68;(2)Correlation analysis: The resilience and the self-efficacy,self-mastery,dispositional optimism,social support was significantly correlated,and the correlation coefficient was between 0.198~0.893(p<0.05).(3)Certification factor analysis suggested that the fitting index of the scales in this study was all met standards(GFI,AGFI,IFI>0.90,RMSEA<0.10;)(4)We respective used the the social support,self-efficacy,self-mastery,dispositional optimism as the mediating variable to construct the model,and finally show that fitting index of those four models were all met the standards.Conclusion In this study,we constructing an interactions models of protective factors of resilience among breast cancer patients and all have good fitting index.Not only general Self-efficacy,dispositional optimism,self-mastery and social support can they predict resilience directly and also can they predict resilience indirectly by any of the four protective factors.
