Objectives1 exploring the application efficacy of rehabilitation nursing model for the depression, rehabilitation exercise compliance and knowledge of rehabilitation of those patients with mild cognitive impairment after a stroke under the guidance of Peplau's Theory of Interpersonal Relations.2 exploring the application efficacy of rehabilitation nursing model for the cognitive function and the activities of daily living of those patients with mild cognitive impairment after a stroke under the guidance of Peplau's Theory of Interpersonal Relations.MethodsBy employing randomized controlled trial methods,68 cases were screened hospitalized in Encephalopathy Rehabilitation of Rehabilitation Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine between Apri.2015 and Apri.2016,randomly divided into intervention group and control group. Both group received rehabilitation provided by professional therapists among which, routine nursing care was offered to those in control group of stroke rehabilitation while rehabilitation nursing was given to those in experimental group.Routing nursing care covers clinical nursing, diet nursing, emotion nursing, medication nursing, complications nursing, safety nursing as well as health education.Nursing model was applied to those in intervention group under the guidance of Peplau's Theory of Interpersonal Relations.A common goal was set up to improve health condition for patients starting from patients' admission to hospital with nurse-patient mutual understanding and joint effort.During the observing period, first goal was to establish a rapport nurse-patient relationship, assess the nursing issues and have a clear understanding of the patients' health problems. In confirmation period,an appropriate professional assistance can be chosen. In progressing period,Following after nursing schedule, preparation were to be made based on the patients' rehabilitation. On the day of discharge,nurse-patient relationship was to be successfully dissociated.During the process of intervention,8 cases were uncompleted;30cases from Test Group and 30 cases from Control Group successfully completed.Mini Mental State Examination.Modified Barthel Index Test,HAMD,stroke rehabilitation knowledge rate and evaluation of rehabilitation exercise compliance were made in both group on the 1st and 28th day of hospitalization and all the data were analyzed via spss22.0.ResultsAfter nursing intervention, the mental state, rehabilitation exercise compliance, cognitive function and activities of daily living in both groups were improved significantly than before the intervention.More improvement was seen in intervention group than those in control group.1 Inter-group Analysis(1)In intervention group, the result showed that there was no significant difference statistically.(P>0.05)with regard to general information, depression, rehabilitation exercise compliance, cognitive function(MMSE)and activities of daily living.(2)4 weeks after the intervention, scores for those in intervention group were significantly higher than those in control group with respect to the depression, rehabilitation exercise compliance, cognitive function(MMSE)and activities of daily living and there was significant difference statistically.(P<0.05)2 In-group Analysis(1)In intervention group, the depression, rehabilitation exercise compliance, cognitive function(MMSE)and activities of daily living were found to have improved at varying degrees 4 weeks after the intervention. The difference was statistically significant.(P<0.05)(2)In control group, the depression, rehabilitation exercise compliance, cognitive function(MMSE)and activities of daily living were found to have improved at varying degrees 4 weeks after the intervention.(P<0.05)ConclusionsIn this study, rehabilitation nursing model under the guidance of Peplau's Theory of Interpersonal Relations not only aids to improve patients' depression and rehabilitation exercise compliance, but also assists to boost their cognitive function,ADL and confidence so as to improve patient's life quality. This model can also aid to bring patients back to family and society so that the model bears a certain social and economic value.
