Research Of Ulnar Styloid Fracture On Wrist Function

ObjectiveIn this paper,through a retrospective follow-up survey,we studied the differences between the two kinds of Simple ulnar styloid fracture type about their Gartland-Werley score of wrist function,the stability of distal radioulnar joint and the pain of ulnar wrist after the treatment of the small splint of Chinese Medicine?And according to the results analyzed and discussed we explore the research of the ulnar styloid fracture on the influence of the wrist joint functionMethodsCollect 31 simple fracture of ulnar styloid cases(26 cases successfully follow up)which had been diagnosed by X-ray examination in our hospital and treated by the small splint of Chinese Medicine from January 2015 to May 2016.According to different simple ulnar styloid fracture,all cases were divided into type I group(simple tip fracture of ulnar styloid)and type II group(simple base fracture of ulnar styloid).Then we reviewed the patients and record data about their Gartland-Werley score of wrist function,the stability of distal radioulnar joint and the pain of ulnar wrist,and use the statistical method to process data between the two kinds of Simple ulnar styloid fracture type.Finally,we obtain research results of the simple fracture of ulnar styloid on the influence of the wrist joint function by analyzing data and comparing the effect between the two groups.ResultsAfter organizing the data,the statistical data show that there were no significant Statistical difference in Gartland-Werley score of wrist function(P>0.05),the stability of distal radioulnar joint(P>0.05)between type I Group and type II Group of simple ulnar styloid fracture,but there were statistical difference in the pain of ulnar wrist(P<0.05).ConclusionAfter analysis and discussion,In summary,we make some conclusion that:(1)It is limited that the simple ulnar styloid fracture in type I and type II in the wrist joint function of the overall effect,and there was no significant difference between them after the small splint of Chinese Medicine,but there was more ulnar wrist pain in type II than type I.(2)The small splint of Chinese Medicine make much curative effect for the treatment of the simple ulnar styloid fracture,and it can effectively prevent the occurrence of the distal radioulnar joint instability which always occurs in type II of the ulnar styloid fracture.
