Clinical Research On The Efficacy Of DuJieQing Oral Liquid Combined With VAD In Treating Multiple Myeloma

Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Du Jie Qing oral liquid combined with VAD in the treatment of multiple myeloma.Methods: A total of 64 cases were inpatients from haematology Department of the First Affiliated Hospita from October 1,2014 to June 30,2016,who were randomly divided into treatment group(32 cases)and control group(32cases).Patients are in line with the diagnosis standard with MM.The control group was treated with VAD,while the treatment group was treated with Du Jie Qing oral liquid combined with VAD.4 weeks is a course of treatment,Two groups were treated for 4 courses.Two groups of patients are observed therapeutic effect,the TCM syndrome,bone pain,the KPS score,marrow plasmacyte rate,β2-MG,LDH,serum calcium and CRP,blood hemoglobin(HGB),creatinine(Scr),urea nitrogen(BUN),and adverse events.Results: Totally 64 cases were enrolled in this study,and 5 cases were dropped in the course of treatment,and 59 cases were finally included in the statistical analysis.Among them,30 cases in treatment group and 29 cases in control group.(1)Comparison of the clinical utility: the objective response rate(ORR)of treatment group was 70% while control group was 58.6%,there was no statistical significance between two groups(P>0.05),But the combined effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group by rank test(P<0.05);(2)Comparison of TCM therapeutic effect: the total efficiency of treatment group was 80% while control group was 58.6%.there was no statistical significance between two groups(P>0.05),But thecombined effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group by rank test(P<0.05);(3)comparing the quality of life,the KPS score of treatment group was 76.7%,the control group was 62.07%.there was no statistical significance between two groups(P>0.05),But the combined effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group by rank test(P<0.05).(4)There were significantly difference(P<0.05)of marrow plasmacyte rate,which was lower than before treatment,but no statistical significance between two groups(P>0.05);(5)After treatment,the β2-MG,LDH,Scr,BUN,serum calcium and CRP were decreased,the HGB was significantly improved(P<0.05).The treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05);(6)Comparing the accumulated points of TCM sign,the score of bone pain,asthenia,numbness,tinnitus,anorexia and magersucht,all scores of both groups were decreased(P < 0.05),while the scores of treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).(7)Comparing the adverse events:the treatment group occurred in 7cases(23.33%)was less than the control group in 10 cases(34.48%),but no statistical significance between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions: The Du Jie Qing oral liquid combined with VAD in the treatment of multiple myeloma can improves the clinical efficacy,improve renal function and anemia,decreases β2-MG,LDH,serum calcium and CRP levels,relieve bone pain,fatigue,numbness,tinnitus,anorexia and magersucht.The effect is better than simple chemotherapy,and did not increase the side effects.
