For nearly half a century, executive function has been a hot research field of Neuropsychology. With the study of individuals with executive function deficits, especially the children with special needs, the research on executive function has gradually expanded to the field of special education in recent years. In the relevant studies, there are various assessment methods of executive function, particularly executive function test.Different test paradigms and presentation methods had different impact on the measurement results of executive function.Furthermore measurements of executive function in the laboratory environment lack the observation of the overall performance of executive function. This study is to explore the feasibility of applying somatosensory interactive technology to assess executive function of children with ADHD.Therefore, the author combined somatosensory interactive technology and classic assessment paradigm of executive function and designed two somatosensory interactive tasks---Stop Signal Task and Decoding Task,to assess the executive function of children with ADHD and children with typical development. The results are as follows:(1)The assessment results on children's performance decoding task and Stroop Test were significant correlated with WCST and Digit Span Tasks, mainly embodied in the data decoding task.(2)There was no significant correlation between the Stop Signal Task and other executive function tests, but there was a certain correlation between the red light errors rate/the red light response time and executive function.(3)There is no significant difference in the executive function between children with ADHD-I and ADHD-C,but the deficits degree of executive function among children with ADHD-C was severer.(4)The medical therapy probably could effectively improve ADHD children's attention control, cognitive flexibility, and the ability of phonological loop in working memory, and also could improve inhibition ability.(5)There was significant difference of executive function between children with ADHD and children with typical development in somatosensory interactive tasks. This result indicated that the assessment method of the somatosensory interactive tasks had clinical validity.Based on the results analysis and discussion, the following conclusions can be drawn:Due to good interaction and activate multiple abilities of children's cognition and movement, somatosensory interactive technology tasks can reflect comprehensive situation of several executive functions.Applying somatosensory interactive technology to assess executive function of children with ADHD has some distinct strength, which can make up some deficiency of traditional executive function tests extent, thus somatosensory interactive technology has certain application value in assessing executive function of children with ADHD.
