Objective:To observe the core muscle group progressive type strength training in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is safe and effective, for the clinical treatment of the disease to explore a safe and effective and applicable to the majority of the community of strength training in the new scheme. Methods:According to inclusion criteria of 88 cases of knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into experimental group (44 cases) and control group (44 cases) and experimental group with core muscle group progressive muscle strength training methods combined with traditional Chinese medicine treatment (Electroacupuncture plus herbal fumigation), the control group were treated with routine rehabilitation muscle strength training methods combined with traditional Chinese medicine treatment (Electroacupuncture plus herbal fumigation). Each group were treated for 8 weeks. Before treatment and after treatment, the VAS pain assessment, manual muscle strength assessment, Lequesne index evaluation, surface EMG integral electromyography (iEMG) and median frequency (MF) were used. Results:the baseline status of the two groups were good, and the comparability was strong (P>0.05). 1.VAS:evaluation of VAS group, the two groups before and after treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), comparison between groups was statistically significant difference between the two groups after treatment (P<0.05); 2.Lequesne index:in the experimental group before and after treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), compared with the control group before treatment, in addition to walking distance there was no statistically significant difference (P>0.05), the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), the control group, there is significant difference between the two groups after treatment (P<0.05); 3 manual muscle assessment:comparison in the group, the two groups before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), comparison between groups was not statistically significant after treatment, the difference between the two groups (P>0.05); 4.iEMG value:comparison in the group, the two groups before and after treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), comparison between groups, the two groups after treatment Difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); 5.MF value:group comparison, the two groups before and after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), the difference between the groups was statistically significant after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:the core muscle group progressive strength training can relieve pain in patients with knee osteoarthritis, improve walking distance, improve strength and daily activity ability, the safety and effective than traditional strength training scheme, as the community of strength training in the new scheme.
