An Empirical Investigation On The Cognition And Practice Of Clinical Nurses' Nursing Ethics

Objective The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the cognition of clinical nurses'nursing ethics,practice situation,continuing education of nursing ethics, satisfaction of patients to nursing ethics service,analysis of relevant factors,and discuss the countermeasures and suggestions on strengthening the cognition and practice of clinical nurses' ethics under the new situation,eventually forming a harmonious nurse-patient relationship.Methods Using a self-made questionnaire "the Status of Clinical Nurses'Ethics" to survey 500 nurses of 3 hospitals in Chengdu,at the same time, using a self-made questionnaire "Patients'satisfaction on nursing ethics service" to survey 209 patients.statistics and analysis the survey results.Results At present, the nurse-patient relationship is still in a state of tension, nursing service needs to be improved from the point of nurses and patients.The total score of the ethical knowledge was (16.38 ±3.91),ethical practice was (63.43 ± 15.99),the average score was (2.49 ± 0.64).The score of Patients'satisfaction was (37.56 ±7), it reflected that clinical nurses needs to improve their ethical service.In addition, continuing education of ethical is insufficient,and people did not pay much attention to ethical education.Single factor variance analysis suggested that there were significant differences of different educational level, professional title level,if one is a manager (P<0.05)Conclusion Clinical nurses have a certain understanding of nursing ethics,but the cognitive depth and breadth is not enough, and there is a cognitive defect.Ethical practice is not enough, still need to be strengthened.From the influencing factors,there are national, social, hospitals, patients, nurses, and other factors.And higher education, higher the level of professional title, the better nursing ethics practiced.For countermeasures and suggestions,we can improving the ability of cognition and practice of nursing ethics through strengthening the management of national policies, improving the management of hospitals, improving the educational system, strengthening nurses'self learning and improving the social environment and so on.And improve the quality of holistic nursing service,finally construct a harmonious nurse patient relationship.
