In the background of population aging and an increased number of chronic patients, the current medical system obviously cannot meet the medical needs of the masses. In order to adapt to this change, the service mode of the general practice (GP) has been put forward at the national level. Because our family doctor system is proposed later and the related research is very limited, we explain the connotation of family doctor and classification model, and this paper tries to explain the theoretical foundation of family doctor system from the perspective of public management and the necessity of implementation according to the progress of family doctor in China, and The status quo of domestic and international family doctor service model is studied. On the other hand, it conducts a questionnaire survey taking a community in Xi'an as an example, analyzes the survey data statistically using Logistic regression model, and attempts to find out the core of family doctor system, namely, the main factor that affects the contract rate of family doctors. The study state that, the medication status in predisposing factors, the attitude of the residents to GP, community advocacy in contributing factors, preferring to the hospital services, satisfaction of residents to the ability and dispensing of doctors in strengthening factors, and the signing of the surrounding crowd have an significant effect on family doctors. Finally, in view of the results of research, we propose the specific operational recommendations to build a family doctor signing service, and discuss the system construction deeply and completely from these aspects of how to improve household doctor signing rate, feasible service mode of the family physician, and pay mechanism and incentive mechanism.
