The Literature Research Of The Vertigo Cases Of Four Famous Doctors Of Febrile Disease,Ye-Tianshi,Xue-Shengbai,Wu-Jutong And Wang-Mengying

ObjectiveBy collecting the medical records of the four famous doctors of Febrile Disease,Ye-Tianshi,Xue-Shengbai,Wu-Jutong,and Wang-Mengying,this paper focus on studying and analyzing their clinical treatments,as well as summed up their valuable experiences of healing vertigo,which may provide references to the modern clinical treatments.MethodsBy systematically collecting and knowing of the contemporary study on the vertigo records of Ye-Tianshi,Xue-Shengbai,Wu-Jutong,Wang-Mengying,choose 214 vertigo cases from the four doctors' works as the research object.Then extract the patient name,age,gender,etiology,symptoms,tongue,syndrome,therapeutic methods and prescriptions as independent field information,and use excel software to build the relevant case tables of Ye-Tianshi,Xue-Shengbai,Wu-Jutong,Wang-Mengying.At the same time,use the prescription(medicine)to supplement the syndrome or therapeutic methods according totheir application scope,which will favors the study of the vertigo cases.ResultsArrangement of vertigo records of Ye-Tianshi,Xue-Shengbai,Wu-Jutong,Wang-Mengying,choose the versions of "Ye Tianshi medical book" which is edited by Huang-Yingzhi and published by traditional Chinese Medicine press in 1999,"three doctors cases printed in one book" which is written by Wu-Jinshou and published by Shanghai science and Technology Press in 2010,"SaoYeZhuang cases" which is firstly collated by Zhou Xiao-nong(secondly collated by Xiaoshan,Xie-Songmu)and published by Shanghai science and Technology Press published in 2010,"Wu-Jutong cases" which is published by Shanghai science and Technology Press published in 2010,and "Wang Mengying medical book" which is edited by Sheng Zeng-xiu China press of traditional Chinese Medicine published in 1999 as the research sources.Then classify the elements of medical records.214 relevant vertigo cases are collected,from which the excel tables of gender,age,etiology,symptoms,tongue,symptoms,treatment,prescription,presc ription,prognosis,sources of Wu-Jutong,Xue-Shengbai,Wang-Mengyin,and Ye-Tianshi are built separately.Other tables such as syndrome table of Wu-Jutong,syndrome table of Xue-Shengbai,syndrome table of Wang-Mengyin,syndrome table of Ye-Tianshi,drug-frequency table of Wu-Jutong,drug-frequency table of Xue-Shengbai,drug-frequency table of Wang-Mengyin,drug-frequency table of Ye-Tianshi,common symptoms of the main syndrome table of Wu-Jutong,common symptoms of the main syndrome table of Xue-Shengbai,common symptoms of the main syndrome table of Wang-Mengyin,common symptoms of the main syndrome table of Ye-Tianshi,comparison table of common symptoms of the main syndromes of the four famous doctors of febrile disease,comparison table of drugs used in high frequency of the four famous doctors of febrile disease are built also.ConclusionIn the vertigo cases of Wu-Jutong,there are 11 cases with the age information,which mainly concentrates above 40 years old.In the etiology,the main one is phlegm.The main symptoms covers:body fever;do-not-eating,tend to drink water,discomfort once drinking too much and reduce on taking food;palpitations,chest comfortable like oily,throat swelling and pain;insomnia.The main syndrome is liver wind with phlegm,totally 5 cases;followed by Yin deficiency wind syndrome and liver-Yin-blood deficiency wind syndrome,each 2 cases.The methods of calming wind and expelling phlegm(5 cases),nourishing yin to extinguish the wind(2 cases),and emolliating the liver to extinguish wind(2 cases)are mainly used in treatment.In the treatment of liver wind with phlegm,the most frequent use of drugs is Indian Buead Tuckahoe,Ternate Pinellia,each used in 7 times;followed by Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae,used in 6 times;followed by Oriental Waterplantain Tuber,used in 4 times.55 drugs are used in 13 cases,with the total frequency of 141 times.The drug most frequently used is Indian Buead Tuckahoe,used in 9 times;the drug secondly used is Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata and White Peony Root,each used in 8 times;then Ternate Pinellia,used in 7 times.The most commonly used drugs category is the one tonifys Qi,totally 19 times;followed by heat-clearing drug,16 times;then asthmatics,15 times.In the use of prescription,13 vertigo cases use the prescription 5 times,of which the prescription most used is Baishuzexietang.In the vertigo cases of Xue Sheng-bai,there are few records of age or gender information.In the etiology,the main one is yin deficiency.The main symptoms cover:body fever,fear of cold;heart palpitations,noisy and heat,muscle numbness,paralysis,unwalkable due to weakness,veins beating,uncomfortable in costal regions and waist;sense organs can appear the throat tamponade,tinnitus;diet situation such as reduce on taking food,abdominal distension;sweating;urine active symptoms.The main syndrome is Yin deficiency wind syndrome,with totally 7 cases;followed by liver-Yin-blood-deficiency syndrome and Qi-blood-deficiency syndrome,4 cases in each;again Yang-deficiency syndrome,with totally 2 cases.The methods of nourishing Yin(7 cases),emolliating the liver to extinguish wind(4 cases),tonifying Qi and enriching the blood(4 cases)are mostly used in the treatment.In the treatment of Yin deficiency wind syndrome,the most frequent use of drugs is Ass-hide Gelatin,used in 6 times;followed by Fushen,used in 5 times;followed by Cochinchinese Asparagus Root Tube and Chinese Arborvilae Seed,each used in 4 times.76 drugs are used in 19 cases,with total frequency of 156 times,of which the highest frequency drug Fushen is used 9 times,followed by Indian Buead Tuckahoe 6 times,again Babury Wolfberry Fruit,Cochinchinese Asparagus Root Tuber,Ass-hide Gelatin,Chinese Arborvilae Seed,and Chinese Magnoliavine Fruit,each 5 times.The most commonly used drug category is yin tonic drug,totally 23 times;followed by hematonic,totally 20 times;again clearing damp and promoting diuresis drug,totally 16 times.In the use of prescription,19 vertigo cases use the prescription 4 times,which are Yiqiyangyingtang,Guipitang,Dihuangtang and Dihuangyin.In the vertigo cases of Wang Meng-ying,there are 6 cases with the age information,which are averagely distributed in different ages;with 29 female patients and 12 male patients,female patients are more than male patients.In the etiology,the main one is improper treatment,expecially false treatment of taking tonic.The main symptoms covers:not hunger,not taking food,abdominal distension,thirsty;fever,cold symptoms;sense of suppression in the chest;painful in in the gastral cavity,in the waist,or in the navel;limb numbness,nervous in the whole body muscle;deafness,tinnitus,uncomfortable in the throat,nasal obstruction,epistaxis;sweating,sweating in head,night sweat;constipation,loose stool,short urine,red urine,heat urine,few urine.17 cases records tongue,with 6 cases tongue color crimson,3 cases no fur and 3 cases greasy fur.The main syndrome is phlegm-heat wind syndrome,totally 13 cases;followed by the hot wind syndrome,6 cases;again Yin-deficiency syndrome,4 cases.The methods of clearing heat and resolving phlegm to extinguish the wind(13 cases),clearing heat to extinguish the wind(6 cases)and nourishing Yin(4 cases)are mostly used in the treatment.In the treatment of phlegm-heat wind syndrome,the most frequent use of drugs is Common Gardenia Fruit,Bamboo Shavings,each used in 6 times;followed by Chinese Goldthread Rhizome,Chekiang Fritillary Bulb,Immature Bitter Orange,each used in 5 times;again Japanese Inula Flower,Baikal Skullcap Root,each used in 4 times.115 drugs are used in 41 cases,with total frequency of 403 times,of which the highest frequency drug Common Gardenia Fruit is used 17 times;followed by Chinese Goldthread Rhizome,15 times;again Bamboo Shavings,12 times.The most commonly used drug category is heat-clearing drug,totally 119 times;followed by asthmatics,58 times;then yin tonics drug,41 times.In the use of prescription,41 vertigo cases use the prescription 12 times,of which the prescription most used is Dangguilonghuiwan.In the vertigo cases of Ye Tian-shi,there are 46 cases with the age information,mainly concentrating between 40 to 50 years old,all of which are female patients.In the etiology,the main one is Deficiency of Yin,totally 50 cases.The main symptoms covers:not hunger,taking few food;body numbness;body fever,fear of cold.The tongue symptoms cover:red tongue,white tongue,red-thorn in the tongue,tongue surface broken and dry tongue.The main syndrome is Yin deficiency wind syndrome,totally 39 cases;followed by the liver-Yin-blood-deficiency wind syndrome,23 cases;again liver wind with phlegm syndrome,16 cases.The methods of nourishing yin to extinguish the wind(39 cases),emolliating the liver and calming wind(23 cases),extinguish ing the wind and expelling phlegm(16 cases)are mostly used in the treatment.In the treatment of Yin deficiency wind syndrome,the most frequent use of drugs is Cochinchinese Asparagus Root Tuber,used in 18 times;followed by White Peony Root,used in 15 times;again Dwarf Lilyturf Root Tuber and Adhesive Rehmannia Root Tuber,each used in 12 times.141 drugs are used,with total frequency of 905 times,of which the highest frequency drug Indian Buead Tuckahoe is used 53 times;followed by White Peony Root,38 times;again Ternate Pinellia,34 times.The most commonly used drug category is yin tonics drug,totally 113 times;followed by Qi tonic,totally 107 times;again hematonic drug,totally 78 times.In the use of prescription,141 cases use the prescription 27 times,of which the prescription most used is Wendantang;then followed by Liuweidihuangwan;again Longhuiwan.
