ObjectiveThe main purpose of this study is to explore Chinese medicine Gukang granules in treatment of postoperative pain and rehabilitation of senile osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures,with release of pain,further influences would reflect on the hip joint activity,bone mineral density and self-care ability of daily life,then evaluating the efficacy of Gukang granules,made in our own hospital,on postoperative pain and rehabilitation of senile osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures objectively,and providing clinical basis to use this therapy in clinical.Method87 patients,meet the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria of the research and informed,were randomly divided into two groups,control group,with D-Calcium tablet,salmon calcitonin and calcitriol treatment,has a total of 43 cases,including 20 male and 23 female cases;Besides the basis of control group therapy,treatment group cases also take Gukang granules and transdermal Gukang fuild with low frequency pulse therapeutic apparatus.In treatment group,there are 44 cases,22 male and 22 female patients included.Period of treatment of this two groups are 3 months,both groups are evaluated by Visual.Analogue Scale(VAS),Harriship joint function assessment,dual energy X-ray bone mineral density(BMD)measurement method and Activities of Daily Living(ADL)score method,with the evaluation of hip joint functions before and after the treatment,objective evaluation would be formed by statistic analysis.ResultsObserve and compare after treatment,the clinical symptoms of treatment grup improved significantly more than that in control group,same as the hip joint functions.By statistics analysis,take Harris hip joint function assessment as standards,the total clinical curative effect late in the traditional anti.osteoporosis treatment combined with Gukang particles was 82.5%,while the total effective rate of control group was 67.56%,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(p<0.05).After treatment,the scores of two groups before and after treatment in the VAS were significantly decreased,with statistical significance(p<0.05);After treatment,the VAS score of treatment group was lower than those of control group,and the difference is statistically significant(p<0.05).As well as Harris hip joint function score and ADL score.,the score after treatment were significantly improved,statistically significant difference(p<0.05),and in the treatment group after treatment,the Harris scores and ADL scores were both higher than the control group,and the differences were statisticcally significant(p<0.05).In comparing hip bone mineral density,average density in the two groups after the treatment has increasecd,but there was no statistically significant difference(p>0.05).ConclusionGukang granules are formed on the basis of etiology and pathological.characteristics in postoperative pain of senile osteoporotic intertrochanteric fracture,and on pathology of liver and kidney deficiency brittle fracture character and qi and blood deficiency,local qi and blood stasis syndrome differentiation and treatment symptomatic.These granules internal used can regulate the environment inside the body,and external use traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)by using low frequency pulse to iontophoresis can stimulate the local area,therefore,the combination of inside and outside,the whole and local coordinates can be effective in relieving postoperative pain of senile osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures.Thereby increasing the lateral hip motion in order to improve the daily life of the patients with self-care ability,at the same time to the increase of bone mineral density affected area also has a certain therapeutic effect,to improve the clinical curative effect,promote the functional recovery of the hip.
