Objective:The purposes of this project are:Studying the clinical and radiological characteristics of idiopathic pulmonary embolism(iPE)and provoked pulmonary embolism(pPE)in the same period, and discussing how to get early diagnosis of the iPEMethods:Clinical and radiological characteristics of 298 cases of pulmonary embolism(PE)were collected, and divided into iPE or pPE groups depending on the absence of risk factor. The clinical characteristics of iPEs were compared with those of pPEs.Results:Out of 298 patients,51 patients had iPE,247 patients had pPE.Except the symptom of leg pain, the incidence of other symptoms in both groups were no significantly differences(P>0.05).Compared with pPE groups, the iPE groups had higher frequencies of leg pain, edema, deep vein thrombosis,wedge-shaped density or linear atelectasis pleural effusion found in the CTPA,lower frequencies of pleural effusion or hydropericardium in the CTPA,lower level of D-Dimer,younger mean age(P<0.05).There is no significantly differences between these two groups in Echocardiographic and embolism performed in the CTPA(P>0.05).Conclusion:The iPEs have no risk factor and younger morbidity,so should pay more time to diagnosis,we suggest to combine its clinical and radiological characteristics to improve iPEs earlier diagonsis.
