Objective:The study was undertaken to evaluate objectively the clinical efficacy of painful diarrhea fomula&acupuncture point injection to treat IBS of liver depression and spleen deficiency. Methods:According to the standard in a randomized controlled study method,60 cases corresponding to the diagnosis standards and the inclusive criteria with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (liver depression, spleen deficiency) were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,30 cases of treatment group and control group respectively. The treatment group was treated with painful diarrhea fomula&acupuncture point injection, the control group with pinaverium bromide,50 mg each time,3 times a day; Using golden bifid at the same time,4 pieces each time,3 times a day; Two groups were supplemented by diet, psychological treatment. Two weeks made up one course of treatment, the total course for 4 weeks. After the observation of two groups before and after treatment, the clinical efficacy, TCM syndrome integral, main symptom efficacy of individual, and adverse reactions, and the scores of HAMD,HAMA,the curative effects of the two groups were contrasted and evaluated by the use of statistical software.Result:1. The total clinical effect evaluation:the total effective rate of treatment group reached 93.33%, with control group 66.67% and there was a remarkable difference (P<0.05) between the two group according to the stastics process. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), the overall efficacy of treatment group was better than that of control group.2. The total scores of TCM symptoms before and after treatment:before treatment, two groups of symptom total scores showed no statistical difference (P> 0.05)and were comparable. After treatment, compared with the scores before treatment, two groups of TCM syndrome total scores decreased significantly (P< 0.01),and treatment group symptom total score was significantly lower than that of the control group (P< 0.01) with significant statistical difference.3.Each single symptom points pretherapy and post-treatment:individual symptom of contrast of the two groups of suffers were not statistical different.ie.comparable before treatment. After treatment, the single points of symptoms like frequencies of defecation,Loose stools, distending pain in hypochondrium, depressed or Irritable mood and insomnia of the treatment group were significantly lower than the control group, with a markable difference (P< 0.01, P<0.05). It indicated that the treatment group was better in improving those symptoms than the control group. There was no statistically significant difference between treatment group and control group in improving symptoms of distension.borborygmus, flatus and lack of appetite. That is to say the two groups share a similar effect in those symptoms.4.The scores of HAMD,HAMA before and after treatment:before treatment, the HAMA, HAMD scores of two groups were of no significant differences (P> 0.05), and comparable. After treatment, the HAMA, HAMD scores of two groups had significantly decreased than before(P< 0.01).HAMA, HAMD scores of treatment group decreased significantly compared with the control group (P< 0.05), which showed that the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion:The two groups of treatment can effectively improve symptoms of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (the type of liver depression and spleen deficiency) of patients, but the degree of the improvement of the treatment group is better than that of the control group. This research shows that the method of painful diarrhea formula and acupuncture point injection for diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (liver spleen deficiency) curative effect is distinct, and acupuncture treatment combined with Chinese traditional medicine is of less adverse reaction, low cost, reliable curative effect and comprehensive. This method can improve the quality of life of patients.
