Objective:Observing and comparing the clinical curative effect in the treatment of cardiac neurosis by using acupuncture and oral western medicine to further explicit the clinical curative effect of acupuncture therapyMethods:130 patients with cardiac neurosis were selected and equally divided into Experimental Group(treat by acupuncture) and Control Group(treat by oral western medicine). Each group include 65 subjects. Observe and compare the changes of the scores of HAMA, Anxiety Scale. SSS. and the TCM Symptom Scale before and after treatment and the follow-up observing of each group.Result:1. Base line:Experimental Group and Control Group have consistent baseline before treatment and are comparable(P>0.05).2. Hamilton Anxiety Scale score (HAMA) and anxiety level:The difference of HAMA and Anxiety Scale scores between the two groups is statistically significant after treatment and follow-up. The difference of HAMA and Anxiety Scale scores in each group is also statistically significant after treatment and follow-up.3. Self rating scale score of somatic symptoms:The difference of SSS scores between the two groups is statistically significant after treatment (P<0.05), but with no statistical significance in the follow-up (P>0.05). The difference of SSS scores in each group is statistically significant after treatment and follow-up.4. Symptom score:The difference of the TCM Symptom Scale scores between the two groups is statistically significant after treatment and follow-up. The difference of the TCM Symptom Scale scores in each group is statistically significant after treatment and follow-up.5. The total effective rate:The effective rate of Experimental Group is 86.88 percent, while 71.43 percent in Control Group.6. All the participant are safe and with good compliance.Conclusion:1.Both methods are curatively effective in treating cardiac neurosis.2.Acupuncture gets better curative effect on relieving anxiety state and somatization symptoms than oral western medicine. The former is better at relieving anxiety state in long-term result. Both methods are proved safe and with good compliance.3.Acupuncture is a safe and effective method to treat cardiac neurosis. It is worth popularizing the research results.
