Background Pancreatic cancer( PC), one of the highest digestive system malignant tumors. Due to untypical clinical signs and symptoms during early stage, Most pancreatic cancer patients are diagnosed with advanced stage, even let someone missed the best time to do the radical surgery. Diagnosis of pancreatic cancer may improve the survival of patients with pancreatic cancer.MiRNAs, a non-encoding single chain RNA with less than 30 nucleotides in length, with function of regulating the expression of gene signaling molecule. meanwhile, with high degree of time sequence, tissue specificity and conservation. In recent years, a large number of research results showed that miRNAs participate in the regulation of many physiological processes in the human body, Such as: cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, inflammatory response, etc. It is also found that miRNAs is closely correlated with the occurrence and development of tumor.Purpose To investigate the clinical value of combined plasma miRNAs with CA19-9 as tumor maker for detection of pancreatic cancer. Methods Collecting 16 pancreatic cancer patients serum samples, all of the patients were diagnosed clinically, and 20 age-and-gender-matched normal controls plasma from February 2014 to March 2015. Quantitative Real-time polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR) was employed to detect the 4 miRNAs(miR-21, miR-29 a, miR-145, miR-210) in the plasma, meanwhile, electro-chemiluminescence(ECL)was employed to detect the serum CA19-9 to evaluate the value of clinical diagnosis through the statistical analysis. Results In serum of patients with pancreatic cancer, the expression levels of miR-21, miR-29 a and miR-210 were found to be higher than those of the normal control group(P<0.05), the average expression level of miR-145 was down regulated, while the difference was not statisti-cally significant. Conclusion The specific serum micro RNAs in patients with pancreatic cancer may be a sero-logical markers for diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, and it will play an important role in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
