Objective Schizophrenia is a chronic, refractory psychiatric disorder, including positive symptoms, cognitive deficits, impulse to attack, affective symptoms.Cognitive function is the most common reasons which cause the loss of patients' daily life ability and social function. The study observed the schizophrenia patients in a six-month by comprehensive rehabilitation treatment and evaluation of its influence on patients' cognitive function, aimed to explore the comprehensive rehabilitation therapy on improving cognitive impairment, and to provide basis data for clinical intervention and a new field of vision for the treatment of schizophrenia in the follow study.Method According to the diagnosis and statistics of mental disorders Handbook Fourth Edition(DSM- IV) diagnostic criteria, 60 schizophrenia patients with long-term hospitalization were randomly divided into observation group(drug therapy combined with rehabilitation therapy) and control group(drug treatment), 30 cases in each group. The comprehensive medical history, comprehensive psychiatric and physical examination was taken right before the therapy for the baseline. The positive and negative symptom scale at baseline and at the end of the sixth month(PANSS) and schizophrenia cognitive test battery(MCCB,Chinese version) were used to assess mental symptoms and cognitive function, TESS to assess side effects and negative symptoms rating scale(SANS) to assess negative symptoms.Rehabilitation therapy includes video games, puzzle games, cognitive learning, work and recreational therapy, health education. SPSS software for statistics and analysis in16 was used. Count data expressed using number of cases(percentage) and the ?2 test was used to compare between groups. If the measurement data is normal distribution, they were represent by the mean + standard, deviation between groups were compared using paired t-test method. If the measurement data is not consistent with the normal distribution, the median was represented, and between group comparison can be the rank sum test method.Result Rehabilitation therapy of MCCB, SANS, TESS score was comparable between the two groups, the difference was not statistically significant. The MCCBscores of observation group were higher than that of the control group, and the SANS scores were lower than that of the control group, the difference is statistically significant.TESS scores of two groups is similar with no statistically significant.MCCB scores of two groups increased with time going and the SANS scores had decreased. Conclusion Rehabilitative treatment can reduce the negative symptoms and improve cognitive function in patients with schizophrenia. It is a feasible treatment measure to improve the recovery of patients' rehabilitation and cognitive function.
