Objective To utilize Brief Common ICF Core Set for Children and Youth with Cerebral Palsy to describe the functioning and disability for Children with Cerebral Palsy, and provide the evidence for clinical practice. Methods 40 Children with Cerebral Palsy were randomly recruited as subjects who had been assessed by rater A using Brief Common ICF Core Set for Children and Youth with Cerebral Palsy and PEDI within 24 hours of adimission, according to the order of admission. At the same time, rater B assessed the same child using the tool named Brief Common ICF Core Set for Children and Youth with Cerebral Palsy. The study requested rater A to retest Brief Common ICF Core Set for Children and Youth with Cerebral Palsy within 48 hours after the fist test. The reliability of test-retest and interrater were measured by analyzing kappa correlation statistics. The internal consistency reliability was measured by analyzing Cronbach's ? coefficient. The concurrent criterion validity was measured by analyzing Spearman's rank correlation coefficients. Time-consuming was measured by analyzing( X ±S).Results The 24 categories of 3 domains(body functions, activities and participation, environmental factors) of Brief Common ICF Core Set for Children and Youth with Cerebral Palsy had an excellent test-retest reliability(Kappa =0.856~1.000 for categories). There was a moderate to excellent interrater reliability(Kappa =0.696~0.900 for categories). There was a better internal consistency reliability(Cronbach ? coefficient>0.7 for categories). There was a high inverse correlation of Spearman's rank correlation coefficients(r=-0.810,P<0.01) between total scores of 24 categories and the scores of PEDI. Time-consuming was(18.88±3.546)min.Conclusions Brief Common ICF Core Set for Children and Youth with Cerebral Palsy had a good reliability and validity, enhanced the evidence as a method to represent the integral functioning of children with cerebral palsy.
