Objectives To explore the factors of recovery of gastrointestinal function after surgery of gastrointestinal malignant tumor. Methods The 314 patients after surgery of gastrointestinal malignant tumor were collected according to the criteria and exclusion criteria, during October, 2014 to September, 2015 in four hospitals in Tangshan. The factors which affect the recovery of gastrointestinal function were analyzed by the prospective and retrospective survey. Data were processed by using SPSS17.0 software, univariate analysis by using t test and F test, multivariate analysis using multiple linear regression. Results 1 Preoperative: Compared with bedridden(limb movement disorder) and anxiety, the patients with non-bedridden(no limb movement disorder) and non-anxiety in pre-operative, the recovery time of bowel sound, the first exhaust and defecation time shorter and abdominal distension and pain, gastrointestinal reaction were less than those long-term bed ridden patients(patients with limb movement disorder), and anxiety patients, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05), these results indicate that long-term bed and anxiety are factors of recovery of gastrointestinal function after surgery of gastrointestinal malignant tumor. 2 Surgery: The recovery time of bowel sound, the first exhaust and defecation time of these patients operated by Laparoscopic surgical were shorter than that of the patients operated by Laparotomy, and abdominal distension and pain, gastrointestinal reaction were less, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05), the result indicates that operation mode is one of factors of recovery of gastrointestinal function after surgery of gastrointestinal malignant tumor. 3 Postoperative: For these patients with postoperative fasting water time and activity time earlier, peritoneal cavity drainage tube placed shorter time, normal postoperative serum potassium and sleep quality levels, higher social support, the recovery time of bowel sound, the first exhaust and defecation time were shorter and abdominal distension and pain, gastrointestinal reaction were less than those patients with postoperative fasting water time and activity time later, peritoneal cavity drainage tube placed longer time, abnormal postoperative serum potassium and sleep quality levels, lower social support, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05), these results indicate that postoperative fasting water time and activity time, peritoneal cavity drainage tube placed time, serum potassium, sleep quality and social support are influencing factors of gastrointestinal function after surgery of gastrointestinal malignant tumor. Conclusions These results shown that long-term bed, anxiety, operation mode, postoperative fasting water time and activity time, peritoneal cavity drainage tube placed time, serum potassium, sleep quality and social support were the factors influencing of gastrointestinal function after surgery of gastrointestinal malignant tumor. Nonbedridden(no limb movement disorder), non-anxiety, Laparoscopic surgical, postoperative fasting water time and activity time earlier, peritoneal cavity drainage tube placed shorter time, normal postoperative serum potassium and sleep quality levels, higher social support are good for recovery of gastrointestinal function after surgery of gastrointestinal malignant tumor.
