Objectives According to occupational health and environmental health PM2.5 sampling method, PM2.5 concentration and total dust concentrations for a open-cut iron mine in the working environment were detected. We discussed the relationship between PM2.5concentrations and total dust concentration, assessed PM2.5 exposure for the workers, and analyzed the importance of PM2.5 testing at the work environment, and the relationship between PM2.5 exposure and the lung function. Methods The mining, mineral processing, screening workshop is used for the research field from October 2014 to January 2015. We set the sampling point in the workshop for PM2.5 total dust and respirable dust detection.Workers is Divided Into dust personnel( exposed group) and non- dust officer( control group) as an object of study.using the method of monitoring the concentration of environmental pollutants combinatied of time- activity diary, exposure group and control group do exposuring assessment,Calculating the average PM2.5 concentration and dose of exposure ?potential exposure dose, while collecting various kinds of workers pulmonary function test results and exposure group and control group were compared. Results 1 In this open-air iron work environment, total dust concentration in the passing rate is 6 / 21,sampling qualified samples of respirable dust is 13,PM2.5 samples is exceeded the lowest multiple of 3.86 times, up to 31.86 times( EHC),In the absence of PM2.5 occupational health standards, according to the proportion of the total dust oncentration and respirable dust concentrations, PM2.5 occupational health limit standards is seted 0.5mg / m3,under this standard, the Open Iron exceeded multiple is0.8-7.6 times, and is heavily polluted,8h-TWA PM2.5 concentrations is accounted for total dust concentration in the working environment 44.8%,the mean PM2.5concentration of exposed group was higher comparison group, PM2.5 concentrations of8h-TWA, exposure and potential exposure dose were as follows, belt worker for1.004±0.087mg/m3, 7.826±1.815mg/m3·h, 12.055±1.044 mg, crusher worker for1.089±0.170mg/m3, 7.588±2.237mg/m3·h, 13.078±2.048 mg, sieving worker for1.171±0.359mg/m3, 8.891±1.549mg/m3·h, 14.061±4.310 mg, drill driver for0.456±0.130mg/m3, 2.417±0.689mg/m3·h, 3.189±1.413 mg. the exposure group lung function FVC?FEV1?PEFR?FEF75(3.26 ? 0.93L?3.20 ? 0.88L?9.83 ? 3.03L/S?4.14 ? 1.75L/S) is Lower than the control group( 3.61 ? 0.92 L ? 3.57 ? 0.85 L ?10.92 ? 2.34L/S ? 4.59 ? 1.83L/S),the comparion is statistically significant, the lung injury is mainly mild to moderate, the number of people is exposure group 49,the control group 28.the lung injury main types is restrictive respiratory disorders, the number of people is exposure group 5,the control group 3.the comparion both were statistically significant,ECG abnormalities in the exposure group and the control group with sinus bradycardia, the number of patients between the two groups was not statistically significant(P > 0.05). The exposure group and the control group with high blood pressure was not statistically significant(P > 0.05).Conclusions PM2.5 levels in the work environment in an open-cut iron mine was polluted heavily. Workers were exposed to high levels of PM2.5. an open-air iron mine working environment PM2.5 damage to Workers lung function exposed to dust, and the lung injury main types is restrictive respiratory disorders,We should establish and perfect open-cut iron mine working environment PM2.5 fine particle monitoring method and evaluation criteria.
