The emergence and development of organ transplantation has saved countless patients with organ failure. The related legal system has well established in western countries, and the mass media do a good job in spreading the concept of organ transplantation. As a result, organ transplantation has been highly accepted. While in China, many people don't know much about it, and a lot less people are willing to donate their useful organ when they can. Although some reports said organ transplantation willingness in our country had promoted, still China is faced with a severe organ disequilibrium between supply and demand. Mass media is a main source of access to information for people, whether the media reports about organ transplantation and they way they report has influencing the audiences' perception. This paper studies on how newspapers report about organ transplantation in Weibo and tries to analysis its characteristics and rules. This paper took the monthly media power ranking of December in 2015 in Weibo as a reference, selecting Top 5 mouthpieces and Top 5 metropolis daily respectively as target medium. The samples of this paper are the weibo about organ transplantation that target medium posted between 2010-2015, exploring what are the distinguishing features of China's medium presenting the topic of organ transplantation and trying to find out what the organ donors and the recipients' media images are. Here are the conclusions: China's media attention and influence on organ transplantation issues are on the rise. Metropolis daily is more active in posting organ transplantation related Weibo than party newspapers, but its influence is far more weaker than party newspapers'. The topics are lack of diversity, most of which are timeliness and storytelling reports and the medium mostly focused on describing the stories about the organ donor and the recipient. The rate of original Weibo is low and most of them are reposted. Homogenization in news is severe. Most of the Weibo carried a strong mood and they tended to show that they applaud for the behavior. The organ donors were put in a prominent situation and max ratio of the donor motives was for moral purpose. While the image of the recipients is weak, not only about twenty percent of the related Weibo came down to the recipients but most of the recipients were described as imageless or helpless.
