Objective:Discuss the use of Memory and Executive Screening(MES) in Chongqing district and rectify the norms according to educational levels for more effective clinical application. Methods:Healthy old people in Chongqing community from Sep of 2014 to Dec of 2015 were recruited for Mini-mental state examination(MMSE). According to educational levels, participants were divided into three groups: MMSE scores higher than 17, primary school higher than 20 and junior high school higher than 24. 358 subjects were recruited.Analyze the relevance between the score of MES and age, gender, the different educational levels. Compute the educational levels-rectified norms of MES by taking mean MES score-1.5s.Results :The different age groups and the different educational level groups have statistics differences in MES scores(P =0.000).The score of MES and each item have highly negative relevance with age(r=-0.291,P =0.000), highly positive relevance with the educational levels(r=0.486,P =0.000) and little relevance with the gender(P=0.152).The cut-off scores of MES in four different groups were 61,72,74 and 78, respectively. Conclusions:Rectified norms of MES may enhance the investigation of MCI who has different educational levels in Chongqing and improve the susceptibility and reliability of the screening.
