Objectives To explore the value of two-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography(2D-STE) in discussing the change of left atrial function in patients with early type 2 diabetes mellitus and discuss the relationship between the left atrial strain rate with E/Em?function of LV contraction?blood glucose and GHb A1.Methods Echocardiography was performed in 49 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM group) and 30 healthy subjects(control group) and then the images were reserved.LV systolic global peak longitudinal strain rate(GLRS)?LA global peak positive strain(GPS)?global peak negative strain(GNS)?global total strain(GTS)?systole strain rate(SRs)?early diastole strain rate(SRe) and late diastole strain rate(SRa) were measured or calculated using 2D-STE.Early diastolic transmitral flow velocity(E) was recorded by pulsed Doppler echocardiography and early diastolic mitral annular velocity(Em) was assessed by Tissue Doppler imaging, the E/Em ratio was calcuated. Discuss the relationship of SRs and E/Em?GLRs?BG?GHb A1, SRe and E/Em?GLRs?BG?GHb A1 using the Pearson correlation analysis.Results(1)Compared with control group, both the LA reservior function and LA conduitfunction decreased in T2 DM group, while the LA booster pump function increased.(2)SRs and SRe were correlated significantly with E/Em?GLRs?BG and GHb A1.Conclusions The LA reservior and conduit function decreased, which closely associated with E/Em?GRLs?BG and GHb A1,and booster pump function increased.2D-STE was more sentitive and accuracy in studying the change of left atrial function in patients with T2DM. |
