The Curative Effect Analysis Of Distal Radius Fracture Lying Outside Watershed Line For The Treatment Of Universal Locking Volar Rim Plate

objective to explore the application of universal locked volar rim plate for the treatment of distal radius fracture outside watershed line. Methods a retrospective analysis between July 2013 and August 2013, xiehe hospital affiliated to tongji medical college huazhong university of science and technology had cured 44 cases of this kind of fractures. During injury to operating time is 2 to 16 days, the average time of 4.3 days. Depending on the application of the plate type, collected from common locking plate group of 18 cases, universal locked volar rim plate group of 26 patients. In locking plate group, 10 cases of male patients, 8 cases of female patients. In universal lock volar rim plate group, 15 cases of male patients, 11 cases of female patients. Respectively on two groups with postoperative fracture healing time to evaluate, and used the Gartland/Werley wrist on comprehensive scoring criteria, application SPSS19 software for statistical analysis, p < 0.05, with statistical significance. Results the 44 patients were all get follow-up, follow-up time during 5 to 20 months, mean follow-up time was 13.4 months. All damage in patients with preoperative were closed injury, all patients obtained osseous healing and none of them had incision infection. Universal lock volar rim plate group of exogenous callus appeared time was 7.25 + /- 1.04 weeks, fracture line disappeared time was 16.83 + /- 1.44 weeks; ordinary locking plate group of exogenous callus appeared time was 8.35 + /- 1.62 weeks, fracture line disappeared time was 18.12 + /- 1.32 weeks. By comparing the two groups had significant statistical significance(p < 0.05). According to Gartland/Werley wrist joint score standard, universal locking rim plate group's comprehensive score was 1.34 + /- 0.22 points; common locking plate group composite score was 1.83 + /- 0.19 points. By comparing the two groups have significant statistical significance(p < 0.05). Conclusions application of universal locked volar rim plate for the treatment of distal radius fracture outside watershed line, this plate can be placed on the best location to get satisfactory reduction, trying to avoid long hallux flexor tendon(FPL) of irritability and tendon rupture caused by friction at the same time, by this way, postoperative patients can obtain satisfactory curative effect.
