Objective:Comparing the modified Tokuhashi and Tomita scores in determining prognosis for patients afflicted with spinal metastasis.Method:We retrospectively reviewed the data of 99 patients treated for spinal metastasis between April 2010 to July 2015.Drawing the survival curves of Different scale of modified Tokuhashi and Tomita scores by Kaplan—Meier analysis and Calculating the median survival time.Survival time of different groups are compared by Log Rank(Mantel-Cox).Comparing the survival time of the different scale in parameters of the two scoring systems Through the single factor analysis of survival curves. Results:We identified 99 patients with spinal metastasis. The average survival and median survival time of patients was 8,14.1 months. The prognosis of 2-4 points group is superior than 5-7points,which is better than 8-10 points in the Tomita scores and 9-11 points group is better than less-than 8 points in the modified Tokuhashi score. There are no statistically significant in survival time of different group with bone metastasis in Tomita score, bone metastases outside and inside spine in modified Tokuhashi scores. For the type of Primary tumors,There are statistically significant in 5 point group vs 0 point, 1 point, 2point, 4 point in the modified Tokuhashi scores and 4 point vs 1 point in the Tomita scores.
