Objective To study the relativity of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) and the correlation of human colon and liver cancer.Method PAHs in 30 colon cancers and 15 cancers of the liver tissue adjacent to carcinoma tissue, and controlled the cancerous tissues were analysed by ultrasound solid-phase extraction and high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Results In the specimen checked out five kinds of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, respectively is 2-methyl naphthalene, phenanthrene, pyrene and 2-methyl anthracene and benzo(a) pyrene. 5 kinds of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in colon cancer tissue and in colon tissue adjacent to carcinoma content had no statistically significant difference(P>0.05) by the analysis of variance. The contents of pyrene, 2-methyl anthracene and benzo(a) pyrene in colon cancer tissue were higher than that of colon tissue adjacent to carcinoma of carcinoma of colon tissue, the difference was statistically significant(F=3.16, 3.93, 5.08,P<0.05). 2-methyl naphthalene and phenanthrene in colon tissue specimens of three groups of content differences had no statistical significance(F=2.35,1.30, P>0.05). Five kinds of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the three groups of specimens of liver tissue content difference had no statistical significance(F=2.35,1.99,2.87,0.98,2.28,P>0.05).Conclusions :(1) Established on human colon and liver tissue samples pretreatment and PAHs separation, extraction and high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)method for quantitative detection at the same time is feasible and measuring results are accurate, fast.(2)Three sets of colon tissue specimen is found that the content of PAHs in the colon cancer tissue was significantly higher in the tissue of normal colon, was statistically significant, P<0.05). The incidence of colon cancer is related to the concentration of PAHs in the body.(3) Three groups of five kinds of PAHs in liver tissue specimen detection rate there was no significant difference(P>0.05), three groups of liver tissue specimens in five kinds of PAHs levels had no significant difference(P>0.05). The incidence of liver cancer was not related to the concentration of PAHs in the body.
